Just curious about the advantages and disadvantages of these 2 bulbs I am running a 1000 watt super hps now but was considering using a blue not the dual arc just the super blue hortilux for the last week my buddy says it will produce more trichs. Also I am going to use a blue to veg next time as my girls are a little strechy and I think it's cause I used a super hps to veg. All comments welcome.:weed:

I am all for blues... right now I am using 4x400w Horti-blues... and I love thme.. I think my plants are more dense, triched and healthier overall and why shouldnt it.. its the closest bulb to the sun.. it has a much richer spectrum for the plant to pull from and in the ranges the plant uses more of. Theres a reason why these are pharmacutical grade bulbs.. because they are simply the best... I think I can actually show the difference here in about 2 weeks.. I hope.. come harvest.. Remember lumens = nothing as far as the plant is concerned you need to look at your lights PAR reading.. ... Honestly.. I don't know much detail about the science I just know the bulbs are awesome..
and you can get 400w bulbs on ebay for 85$ all day.. free shipping thats almost half off from a local hydro shop

im trying to cut down the stretch of my plants in flower and even when i used b-52 the first 2 weeks the plants stretched more than i wanted. i remember a while ago people talking about blueish light keeps your plants shorter so do you think switching bulbs to a super blue 1000 watt will cut down the stretch? im currently using a regular hortilux super hps.
