Go with radicle bags. They are way better than fabric pots. They allow way more oxygen into the media and as a result you have to water more but for that go with a bigger pot or install a drip system. I get zero salt on the outsides. These bags minimize algae growth. On those fabric trash bags I used to grow with Id have to scrape off the algae on the outside when growing outdoors. With the radicle bags there still was algae but I never scrapped algae off the pot throughtout the entire grow cycle outdoors once compared to weekly scrapping of fabric pots.I'm going to try the 5 gallon fabric pots, but there's about a million brands. I like the looks of the geo pots, but can I get recommendations from those of you that have experience with them?
I'll check them out. Are they messy, like for an indoor grow? I would put the plastic trays under them.Go with radicle bags. They are way better than fabric pots. The brown stuff is a beneficial microbe product called recharge, it has molasses in it, so it did stain it some.

Ruth's Tree Farm brand. Cheap and very tough.I'm going to try the 5 gallon fabric pots, but there's about a million brands. I like the looks of the geo pots, but can I get recommendations from those of you that have experience with them?
No. I use coco and it doesnt come out of the pot if thats what youre asking. I have some going indoors now the pic I posted. If you dont have a place for runoff to go it will be messy thats with any type of pot.I'll check them out. Are they messy, like for an indoor grow? I would put the plastic trays under them.
If you are using anything to catch runoff I recommend not having the pots sit in the runoff. Elevate them on something so they do not reabsorb the runoff. I have been happy with the brand root pouch for my fabric pots.I'll check them out. Are they messy, like for an indoor grow? I would put the plastic trays under them.
exactly!I've been using fabric pots for years and have tried numerous different brands. I just buy the cheapest black ones I can find anymore. Brand doesn't really matter.
That sounds like a plan. I think I over think stuff sometimes. I'll get something cheap on EBay. Any suggestions for elevating them slightly to keep from setting in runoff?I've been using fabric pots for years and have tried numerous different brands. I cut old one gallon or less plastic nursery pots in half and put my pots on top of those. I cut a little square to let the runoff not pool inside. Either side will work. These pots cut in halfI use these. A little pricey but whythefucknot.

I don't buy much at grow stores due to the prices they charge. I get them off amazon for less than $2.00 a piece. They might not be the best but they work just the same for my purposes. They'll last for years indoors. In fact I have some that have been outdoors for years as flower pots and are still holding up fine. If I use another kind of pot it's just a cheap black plastic nursery pot.I’ve been using dirt pots they hold up well. I’m personally not as fond of the cheaper black ones that most grow stores carry they don’t hold up near as long.
