Factors Inducing Slow Growth?

Germinated around 30 bag-seeds a little over a month ago in germinating mix on a heating mat with about a 50% germination rate. I currently have ~15 seedlings that are currently outside in medium sized compostable pots using a high grade organic potting soil.

Seem to be having a problem with these seedlings! For whatever reason, growth has become extremely slow. The seedlings grew very quickly in their early stage, attaining their first set of true leaves probably a day after they sprouted. Achieved a height of ~4" during this time frame as well. Seedlings were then transplanted from their germination trays into the pots that they are in now, but growth appears to be stunted.

A month after first transplant, the seedlings are still healthy, but they are just not growing. They are still no more than 4.5" tall and do not show much leaf growth. They do not have branches, only the two clusters on top of the plant which are probably their third set of true leaves. However, these sets of leaves are not yet your typical mature Marijuana leaf.

The plants appear to be fine and healthy, they're just growing very slowly. I do not believe that they could be root-bound at this point, as they are still small and are in fairly large sized pots (~6" across by 8" deep). I also do not believe that they are nutrient deficient, as they are in nutrient rich and balanced potting soil, which I have treated once (around a week ago) with a very light organic fish and seaweed fertilizer.

Although I am a very avid grower of other plants (flowers and vegetables), this is my first cannabis grow and would very much appreciate some insight from those who are more experianced.

After one month, how large should a plant be? I am considering just transplanting the plants directly into the ground now (as I had originally planned) because I would like to rule out the root-bound possibility entirely.

Is this normal?

Thanks--

Not exactly sure how many hours of direct sunlight they were getting. Naturally I can't put them right out in the middle of the field, so I put them on the edge of a river bed and thought that they were getting plenty of light there, but maybe they weren't. I have since moved them onto a little island in the middle of the river where they certainly receive more sunlight, and when I checked the plants yesterday they seemed to have grown a bit.

How large should a month old plant be, anyways?

a month old plant should have more than 3 true sets of leaves lol. go out and see if they're getting morning sunlight.. morning sunlight = fast lush growth.. if they are getting more light in the new spot, and if youre noticing better growth, theyll be fine

The plants are definitely doing better now that they are getting nutrients and more sun. I germinated a second batch about a week ago and put them with the others and they have nearly caught up with the older ones.

Still not getting as much direct light as they could be. I'm estimating that they getting a decent 8 or 9 hours of DIRECT sunlight, and then probably another 4-5 of indirect. The grow could be much more progressive if they could be out in the middle of the field or in the greenhouse with the flowers, but not much I can do about that other than completely relocating the plants to the middle of a remote field.

i would move them into bigger pots. those little things are no good for a growing weed plant.
you feeding them nutes?

and your spot looks a bit risky. what if an animal or a strong wind knocked those pots into the water?
you need to find a few better spots with good sun for all of those plants to grow nicely.
