Failing Lighting Timer

My lighting timer keeps randomly resetting, it will just turn off, and not turn on then the lights blink 12:00am like the power was cut off. This is a digital lamp timer (brinks 2 event) and it keeps doing this. I know it's not my setup because every time I set it up it works for like 12-18 hours then resets , sometimes even taking 1-2 days before resetting. What can cause this? Should I just buy a new light timer? I spent 20 bucks on this one and its almost brand new I bought less than 2 weeks ago... Any advice if I have to buy a new one on a brand/make/model? I really don't want to have to manually turn the lights on and off light I did on my last grow it really sucks.

Oh and I don't think this is powered by the wall its plugged into, it has a time on at all times so idk

I'd chuck it and go with a mechanical timer. Those digital fuckers have caused me nothing but trouble. Good luck!

I just returned a brinks digital timer. Never worked for me. I went with their cheaper model. I think it was like 4 something at walmart. Its 24 hr timer. just twist to set the time. Then push down the the tripper tabs for when you want lights on. Easy peasy. Its been 2 weeks and I havent't had to touch the lights once.

I've got half a dozen similar mechanical timers used all around the house. They seem to me to be bulletproof and a child can set them.
