Fan leaves

Is it safe to cut off the old dead fan leaves some say it's ok some say no. I need some input on it thanks

I usually will wait until the plant is done with them .....meaning a very very slight tug or even just a touch and they come rite off .....if you have to put effort into pulling the leaf then just leave it ........unless you got a severely damaged or sick leaf then you gotta pluck it ....that's different

Okay I wasn't sure what is safe. I am at the end stage I don't want to make any mistakes.

Just leave em on, if they fall off when you brush them with your hand then remove them but if they are still attached you might as well leave them on unless you are looking to increase air flow

I'd say if they can be removed by a gentle pluck then go ahead. I find on my plants around the one and a half month mark the very first leafs will yellow off and die and the affected leafs will generally just pulled right off with no resistance. If nothing is wrong otherwise leave your leafs.
