Usually when running a tent you dont use an intake fan but passive intakes.....or atleast that's what im doing to create negative pressure inside the tent.

Yeah I know, but a intake fan lessens load on exhaust fan, and allows me to direct the cool incomming air where I want it.

If given the choice between a pc or a booster fan in a tent of that size I'd go with the booster. If you already have an inline (appropriately sized, not booster) fan for exhaust I would place it outside the tent, as close to the exit point as possible (lessening the load). Then it would just pull the air out of the tent and you don't really need to worry about the intake fan. You can direct the air inside the tent with a small oscillating fan. Just make sure that your ductwork is as short and straight as you can get it and things will be breezy.

I have a 4x4 tent too. I'm going to pick up a inline fan and a filter with 6" connection points (flanges?). I don't think I've seen a fans (not boosters) of that size that move less than 400cfm and quite a few move slightly more. The inside of my tent is just 112 cubic feet. I am confident that such a fan will do all I need it to in my tent.

I'm not trying to tell you what to do. If you really want an intake fan then have at it. There's definitely more than one way to do this. HTH :joint:
