fan upgrades

this might sound stupid question, but asking is how you learn, i am running 35m of 6"" duct with 1 4"" inline fan at why junction, then in tent have it reduced to 5"" duct then fan connected to ink bird temp control, y junction splits it to another 5"" fan on other side of tent connected to ink bird humidity controler, my out let is carbon filter 6"" upsized to 8"" threw inline fan, threw 8"" cool tube another 8"" inline fan then an other cool tube then a centrifuge 8"" fan then vented to out side, have 3 oscillating fans and to 6"" inline fans flat on floor facing up spaced evenly threw tent, it keeps it steady at 23.5d and slight negative pressure, so i want to change to 1 inlet and one out let fans would 2 12"" do the job, for 2x2x1 tent
 
That sounds like a whole bunch of fans that aren’t needed, but a drawing may help explain. Sounds like you are way overthinking this. For a 2x2x1 tent a 6” exhaust fan should be more than enough. The filter usually goes on the intake side, in the tent. I’m not sure what you are attempting to accomplish.

Idk either I’m confused or you are. Sounds like a lot for a 2 x 2 x 1 tent. Are you sure you have your measurements correct? Maybe a picture or a drawing of your set up might help.
I have a 7’x7’x7’ room and use one 6” inline fan with a 7” passive intake. No cool tubes or filter.

Plants looking good but kind of wanted pics of the fan set up. Is that a flexible dryer vent connected to your cool tube? I personally would be using a flexible metal ducting that can withstand a higher temperature.

You need to draw a diagram but it looks to me
all them fans are a waste of space and electricity. The airflow is only as good as the weakest fan. I can't understand what the Y splitter is for either.

Filter > fan> cooltubes > outside.

Tent is 2x1x2m right? 2long, 1 deep, 2 high?

Two 1000w hps is overkill.

35meter of duct? That's a fuck load.

You probably want a 10inch box fan, like a gecko or hurricane.. that should manage the amount of resistance.

The outlet, if that's what that is in the chimney needs to be bigger.

The fan on the floor is asking for trouble.
All electrical shit should be above knee height.

yip so a ten for outlet and an 8 for inlet to keep slight negative pressure or would you use 2 tens an just be down, going to change to led lights for next grow as well i think, also not as many plants, this is all just inexperience, its great to be able to get advice man cheers dude, o reason for duct is because were i have to vent to, before next grow am going to drill to holes on far side of tent to vent, and inlet, y junction is to create more umf, i just didn't have an other inline fan so that's how i got around problem, with out it ,lose alot of umf by time cool air gets to tent, bit like turbo on a car, sorry about writing my life story here but keep flicking up and rereading, again lights i think inexperience again, moving to spider farmer sf5000 2 of or can you recommend anything
 
While airflow is increased in both instances, there are two primary fan/filter setups that have two distinct purposes beyond airflow/turnover--Odor Control and Contamination Control.

1. Ideal fan set up for Odor Control (negative pressure):
Starting Inside tent: Pre-Filter Cover-->Filter-->Fan-->Ducting>Tent Wall-->Exhaust Ducting outside tent... Passive intake into tent.

2. Ideal fan set up for Contamination reduction (positive pressure):
Starting Outside Tent: Pre-filter Cover-->Filter-->Coupler-->Fan-->Ducting-->Tent Wall-->Exhaust Ducting inside tent... Passive ventilation out of tent.

The first setup is THE way to control odor--no question about it. While the second has some odor control if situated in a lung room, it's primary purpose is to reduce/eliminate pet hairs, dust, and other fine particulates from being sucked into the tent via negative pressures inside the tent. The positive pressure pushes air away from the grow environment and maintains a cleaner grow and subsequent buds. Positive pressure environments are common in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry to reduce contamination risk.

Neither is right or wrong--contrary to what people here and other places say. They are situationally dependent. If you are in an illegal state, negative pressure is likely the best situation no matter what. If you are in a legal state or your grow doesn't throw too much odor and you have a couple dogs or cats or a dirty basement space, you might opt for the positive pressure scenario.
