Fast drying b4 harvest

My white widow plant is at 9weeks flowering under 250w Hps light.I am planning to harvest at sunday.The thing is I cut one of the lower buds and dried it under 60w lamb for 30 mins then smoked it.It didnt smell and there was no taste i didnt even get high..Anyways I think what I did was wrong but I couldnt wait is it normal?

You cant score your grow from early samples bro. Let it dry and cure correctly and the smell and taste will get stronger and better with time. Or hopefully it will, I hate to give you false info but the taste and smell should come along. Also let someone else try it and see if they get high, you may be playing mind games on yourself lol.

let it dry, let it cure, and let it be magic =) you cant expect it to be a fair sample so soon. the way i test mine when i harvest is the finger hash i get from trimming and then i make butter from the suger trim. gives me somthing while i wait on the bud itself that still needs a week or 2 or in some cases longer.

When you speed-dry, be it microwave or just heat, it will always have less of its aroma, taste, and potency; when it get's too hot, it vaporizes, and, with increase in temperature, eventually combusts (although, I wouldn't think you would let your shit catch fire under that lamp,lol)--light doesn't help in preserving THC either. Anyway, point being, it diminishes the quality of the weed immensely. It'll also get super dry super fast, so it'll only get drier as time goes by, making it a shitty smoke.

So, either way, you can't judge a plant until she's done with her show, and dried properly (curing is nice too).
