This will be round two of my cycle for growing the FnV strain,
Germination:
Submerssion method where i place the seeds in ph balanced water 6.3-7.0
Room Temp water, and i like to keep the seeds in there until they sprout and have a couple millimeters for the tap root. From there i switch them into the jiffy pots containing Fox Farm Ocean Blend Soil
When i transfer them over i use a spray bottle of SuperThrive root stimulate, which helps prevent shock to the roots from transplant... I use this spray bottle through out the first couple days to keep the soil moist until i see them break through the top of the surface.... then i ease off the SuperThrive and begin to use normal water/nutrient water (FoxFarm Grow Big)
-I use (4) 45w CFL bulbs that combine put out more than 1000 lumens, with that I have a fan that provides a cross breeze to the young seedlings so they can start their Low Stress Training (LST) early on. Ive found out through the first grow and through my research that this method provides good results.
Humidity 50-60 percent
Temp 80-82 degrees
Transplant to Veg Stage:
Once the plant grows out the jiffy pot that they grow up in, I then transfer them into the 3Gallon Smart Pot.
Ill say that these pots are they way to go, having used the traditional style pots and found they distribute the water as evenly; along with other discouraging traits.
Humidity 40-50 percent
Temp 80 degrees
Veg Stage:
This is the spot that im at right now, with my lead plant being 3 inches tall but showing signs of flowering already, making it through the stress Ive put through it by getting through my learning curve.
However, as you will see with the pictures ill upload soon...the plants making a comeback strong..
Lessons Learned: Dont overwater- better to go under than go over/ easier to reverse to dry than to wet
Set it up and leave it alone - aside from the spraying of the seedling pots to keep them alive
Humidity - When i get a tent ill be able to place a humidifier in there and keep the humidity at the ideal percentage high 60's to 70's
