Faulty Lighting Timers

I went out to the garden this AM and found out the lights were off. I usually have a 1/2 hr to do my daily chores out there. Check the timer and saw it was 1.5 hrs out from what it normally reads. If this timer was just loosing or gaining a few minutes over time, is this going to affect my crop? I'm going to get a new one tomorrow.

Ya I had the same thing happen 45 mins over a two month period.....no probs. Got a digital one now...It never messes up.

You shouldn't have any problems with your current timer, but a digital one with battery backup will be more accurate and stay accurate during power outages.

Some of those digital timers have batteries in them so they can keep the time if the power goes out. Anyone care to guess what happens when the batteries die??? Double or nothing if you can guess what happens if that particular failed timer is connected to the flood pump.

I use digital timers for all my aquariums and haven't had one fail in 10 years. Just change the little button battery once a year.

I have a $5 dollar analog timer from home depot that does the same thing, I've never had an issue

My last digital timer reset itself and caused hermies... I stick to cheap analogs now.
yeah i hate my digital timer it's been pissing m off. Luckily I am only using it for my male so if it hermies oh fucking well LOL. Cheap ones are fine with me, make sure there isn't something blocking it from moving cuz i've never noticed a problem with any.

One more ? I'd like to get back to my original time schedule. Can I change it back all at once or do it incrementally? It's 1.5 hrs out.

are you in flowering or veg? If flowering make sure you have at least 12hours dark. If vegging, make it a short night. but you can do it all at once to get back on schedule.
