F'd up again.

Root rot #2, think I transferred it via probe and not sterilizing. Ordered physan 20. Everything is getting the scrub. Lesson learned. Also going to put reflective Mylar on net pot lids to aid in cooling. I am at a constant 73 degrees. Tons of babies ready, just waiting on amazon physan shipment. I threw some hygrozyme and beneficial microbe brew just to see if I can get her saved. Doubt it, yellow and droopey 5 weeks into bloom. Lesson learned, can't say it enough.

How can I cool two black bubble buckets? Can a chiller be plumbed for two five gallon bubble buckets? Would painting the tops white and directing a fan do it? I'm at 73 degrees in the buckets. Also, my air stones are pumping big bubbles. New stones, it's like there's too much pressure. Here is the type of stone I use

Of course you could use a chiller. Seems a bit excessive for two buckets IMO.

Put your air pump in a cool place if it isn't already. That would help out a lot. A white top would also help. Water bottles, but if you're having bacteria problems I dont think putting a foreign object in your res is a good idea. Coolers and starting with cold water and then doing res changes every week would also help.

I find with fans, they just move the hot air around and sometimes might even make things hotter especially if not enough ventilation.

I think the tea will help a lot. I just had a case of some browning on my roots and the tea cleared it up in a week. I caught it very early though. Before my plant showed signs of stress.

I'm using it religiously now as a preventative.

I'm using hygrozyme and microbe from now on too. 73 does nt seem too hot, I'll paint the tops white. My vortex really moves the air. I think I'm having oxygen issues along with slightly warm water

Physan 20'd everything in my grow area, everything. All looks good. Had to dump the big girl two weeks from flush, it's roots were paste. Cannot say it enough, I will never be here again. Much easier to clean as you go.

i know opinions vary greatly on the subject, but frequent change outs, big air, and h202 work exceptionally well for me.

i usually stay around 1.5 ml per gallon. 35% h202. i'll start off in the res and/or individual tubs at 1.5 per gl and honestly if the roots look good i usually just add back ph'd water until change out. i change the water out every 7-10 days. h202, air, cleanliness, water temps, and change outs are all excellent preventative measures to keep your roots looking like this:

Got everything sterilized, things are back to clean. Babies haven't been this good in a long time. I always keep up with visual cleanliness, but sanitized never. Once a month for me. I'd run peroxide but wouldn't that mess with beneficials? Is that tfor running a sterile system. I've been pushed towards hygrozyme and have started using it, have not seen results yet, will peroxide mess with that?

h202 and hygrozyme work fine together. i've used them together off and on for years. h202 will certainly kill beneficials, but there are none in hygrozyme.
