Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas + LSD

Hello everyone.
I searched around the forums to see if this had been talked about but didn't see any topics about it.
Recently I decided to trip some acid with a bunch of friends.
It was pretty mediocre acid, lasted for around 10 hours off two hits.
Definitely a weird trip compared to many of the others I had.
I had been sketched out from 1am-12am ish.
About 5 hours into the trip my friends decided to put Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas in.
I had seen it once before, but god DAMN let me tell you it was way different frying my balls off.
The movie is 100% different tripping acid.
Has anyone else seen this movie on acid and felt the same?
All I kept seeing was about how drugs are bad and make you dumb as fuck and push you towards death haha.

Lol, Ive only done LSD once and we were watching fear and loathing in las vegas, weird but i wasn't really paying attention to the movie, probably cause I was a bad seat in the theatre (home theatre) and didn't feel like cranking my head. But there were turtles fucking flying everywhere, and I was eating lamb cuts (I'm an aussie) and screamed and threw it at someone because I thought it was part of my hand. Whenever I closed my eyes I saw red yellow blue lights spinning crazy, at one point I was certain my friends were talking skeletons. I remember whenever the color changed in the movie, like the lighting went red I thought the walls were bleeding. And I could hear and ambulance and I thought I was in the hospital.

I don't remember the rest, but I remember seeing the lamb that I threw on the couch :/ the next day.. (what a waste). Not that it was a bad trip or anything wasnt unenjoyable but I've only tried it once. So dont rag me out or anything. It truly is a hell of a mind opener.

Oh basically I was asking if you saw the messages and the difference of the movie on acid.
It is a completely different movie and it is so slowed down.
It's so hard to explain because I can't describe what I had been seeing while frying lol.
The movie definitely scared the shit out of me while I was tripping though.

Dude, I started peakn right as the movie started my first time watchn it. Never laughed so fukn hard in my life, understood the whole thing.

You are better off simply taking the drug on your way to the real vegas and experienceing your own fear and loathing - worked for me.

Yeah, pretty crazy. Did you notice at the end when he is in the phone booth with all the reckage around him, the smoke is going backwards? The smoke is going back into the things that are on fire, not out and away. Strange how I picked that up....

You ever watched wizard of oz with the dark side of the moon? Y'all can hate on me, but THAT is some of the trippiest ahit I have ever seen on acid. That or laser tag. Or a transcontinental flight. OOOHhhhhh I used to take my labtop, lay on my back with the screen over my face and the laptop hanging toward the back of my head. I would put a winamp visualization generating program on, chose some good music, and lay there with my whole periphery taken up by the laptop screen. You become part ofthe visualization program. Bottlerocket wars in the forest at night can be fun tripping too.
I used to eat a lot of acid....

One thing I found was to not do it too often or too intensely or it can take a while to get "back to normal". When I finally stopped (august 9th 2002....baaaad trip) it took months to get back to normal, like stop having visuals constantly. Not strong visuals, but the walls would breath, trees would twist a little bit, the darkness in corners would kind of bleed out until I focused on it, patterned floors would kind of wave on me...all very slivhtly but it took a while. The acid I ate for a long time was diluted out with CK1 from crystal so every hit smelled like and tasted like ck1, it was a wierd association. For years after I would smell ck1 and it would make me go back in A little bit.

Understand completely where you are coming from, was totally there..... there as in the mentality you were in while watching that movie.

The first time I watched that movie I was completely fried and quite confused as to what was actually happening.. i'd get to a point every minute or so where I thought I had complete control of what was actually happening.. and then it just seemed to turn upside down and go a completely different direction, where I would again be chasing what is actually happening.

I've seen it 4 or 5 times since then but not as fucked up.

Few weekends ago I decided to drop 2 tabs with a mate and we watched it about 3-4 hours in and man... i was so excited as soon as it started I kept saying "are we actually going to do this.. this is awesome"

I was commenting on nearly every scene as to how amazing it was and yes... I could not stop asking my friend if he was viewing it in the same way I was.. I kept repeating "it just seems so much more slowed down than when I originally watched it" and nearly everything made absolute sense, I came to a conclusion in my mind about nearly every scene.

The movie was designed so well especially for someone who is peaking balls on acid.

definantly can't wait to do it again some time hahhaa.

Though saying that it was completely slowed down, the actual movie went pretty quick, it just seemed like every scene had so much more added detail that i failed to see before.

" rain drops on roses and whiskers on kittens ".. Man I love that movie... Never tripped acid but I've seen this movie 40-50 times tripping on mushrooms.. It became a ritual for awhile lol....

I've seen it many times on acid. It's awesome because you can stop paying attention for awhile but it still makes sense when you start again. The pacing is awesome, it's like they're tripping with you.

I saw that movie when it came out in the theater tripping on acid. I thought that I had taken super strong acid because of how fear and loathing looked and felt. I saw the movie again later while sober and realized the acid I had taken the first time wasn't especially strong, the movie was especially crazy!

I don't know who directed that movie but he definitely captured alot of the feelings you get while tripping on film better than anything else I've ever seen.

This one's gonna be a no brainer, but anyone watch The Yellow Submarine while trippin balls? I watched it on 2C-I and it was amazing.

Ohhhhh yeah man. One of the best experiences in my life. Awesome movie to watch tripping my face off. Completely different on LSD. I loved it.
