Feed times and duration

I have read a couple of places that I should feed my plants three times a day. Does this mean I feed them every eight hours or do I just feed them when the lights are on? Also, how do you determine how long you should run your system each time you feed? If anyone can point me in the direction where I can find information on feeding times and duration I would appreciate it. I have two different systems ... one is an ebb/flow and the other is a drip.

everyone's opinion is different..some run 24/7...some three times a day for 15 minutes...some every 15 minutes for 1 minute...some every 1hour for 5 minutes...find one that keeps your roots wet...don't let em dry out
