Feeding clones

So I've done pretty good cloning but feel there is room to improve, i have had clones take anywhere from 4 days to 3 weeks to develop roots, some of them clone way easier than others, (depending on strains) sometimes they are almost to the brink of death before they develop roots with dying and yellowing leaves and have to be nursed back and to me they seem starved, so my question is should i be feeding clones through foliage and if so what ?

I've been wondering this also, was actually wondering if leaving clones in a weak mix of grow nutes would root them faster

Do a side by side and find out. I used to have leaves turn yellow and then I’d see a root pop out. I am better now, no yellowing. I also don’t cut the leaves off. Just a big stem in Rockwool. With pH water. And this time I did add weak fert water. Try it and see if it’s better.

What do you clone in? I use root riot cubes, fed with clonex solution PH'd at 5.5-5.7 they look great start to finish under a small t5

yellowing leaves on strains that take a long time to root is not a big deal. once they sprout roots they should return to good health very rapidly. i would look at what you're doing once they are rooted and transplanted if they aren't recovering within a day or two.

Oh yeah once they get roots they recover really well i was just thinking i should be lightly feeding them though, i see pics of green healthy clones that have just sprouted roots and made me think i could improve something

What method do you use ? RW , RR, aero ?

Rw and RR mix
in my experience a healthy mother is a must. Low intensity light would be next.
IMO, nutes while trying to root is counter productive, you want it to root ( hormone change), not grow.
Yellowing comes from the plant feeding off it's self while trying to grow.
I find using an aero cloner (Clone King ) is pretty fool proof.
I run perpetual, & can reliably count on a bushy roots by day 14.

good luck
