Femenized plant lighting?

Hi,

I'm about to start my first grow. I think I understand the basics of lighting, but is there anything special I need to know about feminized plants? Do I do the same thing as with non feminized plants--6500K 24 hours a day or 18 on & 6 off then 12/12 with 2700K? Will they start to flower automatically, and then I switch to 12/12, or do they flower when I switch to 12/12? Who's in charge here?


I'm planning on using a total of 400w cfls for 4 or 5 plants--a 200w over the plants and a few smaller cfls around the sides. Any advice would be really appreciated.

you treat them the same as you would a regular seed. when you switch to 12/12 they will start to flower.

Nothing special needed for the feminized seed. Only difference is, it should be female. Unless you have an autoflower strain, it won't start to flower until you put it under 12/12 lighting.
