Feminized seed question

My friend told me today that if I buy a feminized White Widow seed there's a chance that it wouldn't be the actual White Widow. He said sometimes when you grow from feminized seed you get the parents of that strain instead. I've never heard of this but then again I'm new to growing. Is what he said true? I thought I could just go online and order any strain seed I wanted and grow that plant.

If you buy from a good seed company with good reviews and known for good product you should be fine and your friend is just stoned talking you ......however nothing is a guarentee no matter what as even a fem seed could end up being the dreaded herm/boy .......but go with a company that has a good reputation/genetics and grow some dank and don't share it with your friend ......GL

Do you know any seed companies you could recommend?

To be absolutely honest I'm not the one to recommend companies because I'm in Ca so I do alot of clone growing because I have a good connection in so cal with a breeder .....I do grow seeds but I never have to order them ......I'm sure someone will chime in and help you out.....just do your homework when you get ready to order GL

Your friend may also be confused about the "actual White Widow" thing...
Lots of seed banks claim a White Widow, but only one has the original White Widow (Mr Nice, I think).
People buy White Widow...but then it doesn't grow true as it's a knock off of the original...

(Or maybe I should have my morning coffee before posting :lol: )

Where are you that it's time for morning coffee ....I'm just getting ready to go to bed here in CA at 11pm
