Few Questions

Are you suppose to take out sticks and wood like that out of the soil
Are you suppose to give your seedling phd water
Can you use CFL's for flowering

yes,yes,maybe. i dont know what kind of soil it is but i would take out all foreign material and add some perlite, maybe even some garden lime to help keep the ph in check , earthworm casings . you should use hps for flower but if you use cfl find the ones with the kelvin range as low to 24000 as you can find (lowes) the higher ones work best in flowerso 64000 for veg and 24000 for flower. hope this helps

From what I understand it depends if it is composted or not. Roots has wood in it and I have had great success with it.
