Hi all. I am using some FFOF soil I had sitting around for a small closet cfl grow. I am noticing some purple stems/under leaf and also a small rust spot. The rust spot is probably not the fungus. The ph of the soil is around 7-7.5 tested with ro water. According to ff website the ph should be 6.3 to 6.8. Id like to get my ph in check as it is really the last thing I haven't perfected yet. I am considering getting some dolomite lime at home depot or w.e. In the picture I tried to show stem/underleaf, you can notice the purple. The strain is afgan kush fem by world of seeds (freebie). The first pic is at 6 days, It used to look so much healthier, now it looks weird. I dunno, Maybe I am just being picky, but my ph is definitely to alkaline. Does it even make that big of a difference? I've read a few times that ph in this type of soil is not the most important thing as the soil contains buffers. Any help would be nice. I guess what I am asking is if anyone else using ffof soil has issues with ph? I know it may be to hot.
