filter fan silencer

Simple question. I have a filter silencer and fan in a grow tent and I'd rather not hang it. Can I put the filter in the ground in a corner, put the inline fan ontop pulling air through, the silencer in the other side and ducting leading out the top?

putting it on the floor is going cause it to suck out all your cool air coming in .but on the other hand if your using c02 ,it is a good idea ,would keep co2 in tent .most people hang the can in top were the heat is to exhaust it .if you are have trouble with weight ,get some pvc and build a support in the middle ,you no what i mean like it has 3 walls ,build a square and zip tie it to your supports ,it will keep tent from sucking in.

If you don't have room in the tent, you could put it outside the tent. Insulated ducting does wonders for sound. Gotta think about back pressure and length of ducting relative to fan size as well.
