4 plants, pineapple express, skunk, white widow, and Ice kush.

I believe all are sativa indica hybrids, anyone know how these s/i hybrids do when fimmed or topped?

i would suggest LSTing unless you want to experiment but all plants react differently and could hermie. I personally have never topped or fimmed a plant.

well first off it's not being a pussy it's being smart !!!!if you top your cutting off the main growing tip retarding growth, lst does the same thing without the delay in growth or shock to plant ,i tried fim on 2 plants i have now the ones i lst are kicking the shit out of them same mother same batch of clones but hey if you think your pussy for not topping you go right ahead tuff guy.i can do it without topping notice pic.:bigjoint:

I topped an Agent Orange and it came back to bite me. I don't think that topping in itself was the problem, I just think that topped plants want more time to veg to recover from the trauma of losing the main growing tip. Honestly I just think that if you top you need to respect how much time and root space the plants need. If you do top you know that you just reset your vegging calendar on your current pot and should upgrade pot sizes before flowering. Meaning more time over lsting a plant, which I think is much much better. Training versus mutilation wins out in my opinion. Love the thread.

I'm still fairly new, on my 4th grow, and 2nd real good one. I fimmed 18 of my 45 plants this time. First time ever cutting the tops. Couple things I noticed:
1. They sex a few days later. All the plants that I hadn't touched had sex signs showing around 7 days but the fimmed ones we're like...4-5 days behind in the sexing. This was a bit of a pain in the ass.
2. It definitely takes about a week for them to get their shit back together.

I haven't taking the fimmed ones to bud yet, they're on like 15 days of darkness now, so I can't report on that yet. One thing I've been having a FUCK OF A TIME getting a decent answer out of RIU community is the EXACT difference between topping and fimming. I swear to god I've read like 30 threads on it, seen pics, and asked a ton of questions but it's still murky as far as the difference is. If I grew less plants I'd LST, but I'm not going to LST 30 plants at a time. I'm gonna have more weed that I can sell in between harvests anyways :) Happy days are coming.
Good luck man!

never understood why people top there plants lol all your doing is taking away a bud site now super cropping pinching tops will create pretty much same thing tighter nodes bigger buds thats what its all about really making lots of big buds cause once there drying you lose 3/4 of it

did you top this just once?and how many growing tips do you have now.
Yep just once at about the 4th node and I have 4 main tops but those tops have side branches that have shot up to give me an even bush...I also remove fan leaves where I see fit also

ahhh super cropping now that's another can of worms to throw into the mix but your right it does have it's place but in my exp. plants respond differently to this some good some not so good.props on the buds though look very loved.
