Final bit of research...600 watt systems ....tips/tales/woes

have a t5 i proved i can do it and make decent something with that i moved to a 600 watt dimmable system in a 4x4x6.5 secret jardin

here is what i do know

cool tube is the best choice i can pick
600 watts in a 4x4 is little over kill but good enjoy it
400 cfm fan will do the job
run with passive intake system
MH for veggie
HPS for flower

buddy said to get some gloves to add and remove the bulb from the light .........yes /no

my system is dimmable do i want to use it at 100% or am i looking to start at 50%/75% and move it to 100% 3rd week or so


final part anything anyone wishes to share before i jump down the rabbit hole yelling weeeeeeeeeeee...............thanks for the help from before after this i should shut up for a few months while i work out problems and tweaks no promises tho

on the bulbs i don,t. 2 years strong on indoors. with my cfl bulbs-lol

i think some do ask for you to use gloves?, i do clean and dry my hands when i touch them. damn time for new bulbs.

With the gloves thing.
You just don't want to get any residue from your fingers on the bulb, or it could explode. I used to take bulbs off with a clean cloth.

600w is not overkill for a 4x4, thats only 5,500 lumens at best per sqft which is midrange when it comes to lumens. Most people use 600-1000w w/ the 1000w being the optimal choice.

so get myself a pair of sliver handling gloves or some decent leather gloves and keep them in a bag only use for bulb changing ...............i thought he was shitting me becuase well he is who he is i will give him a phat bong hit next time i see him then ..................thanks for the imput

as for the 1000w that is for the next tent is a 6x6 .........one crappy tent for drying ......the new jardin eta friday wahoooo.......the 6x6 after the 4x4 tent finishes and get a dumpster to the house to clean out space ..............baby steps keep everything low key hit the market and run away for 2 weeks in vegas (see how many casino i can banded for life from )

oh the mh is 55000 lumens and the hps is 89000 lumens.........i am working with auto strains now untill i get better then dwc photos in 4x4 and 6x6 is autos


could i ask to see some ppl's method of hanging their fan set ups .........i am not sure how to do mine....looking to copy someones

I hang my fans with eye hooks in my ceiling and bungee cords around the fan brackets.


Very little vibration noise.

as said no, use a towel, a T-shirt, ...

If you are low on budget you can veg at 75%, if not start at 100%

I just use a couple of fresh tissues/paper towel

The spectrum does get thrown to the right(red) when dimming best to keep 100 and raise it up. A 1000 would definately be better for that space I use my 600 cool tube currently in a 3x3...more ventilation also...

i am buying a band new terry wash cloth glove and keep it in a gallon bag in the tent

and veggie at 75% ok but for best 100%
flowering at 100% always

thanks again anyting else i should know evyerthing is on track by this time friday i should have my little babies finish in the HPS then move the fresh ones into old tent for 10 days then move it to new tent for the good MH and HPS light
