Finishing Late?

So, what happens if you let your buds really ripen on the plant? Say 30-40% amber trichs or more? I know you'll lose some potency, but does it change the characteristics of the buzz? More or less couch lock or stoney or trippy? Does it affect the flavor? Does it increase CBD? What if you over-ripen a high potency strain, say a strain that's supposedly +20% THC?

So far, trying to time the harvest to 5-10% amber is tricky. It often seems to early.

the later you wait . the more of a relaxing buzz and body buzz you get. the more cloudy more uplifting energy high . my personal smoke I wait until every one of those are very dark almost black non of the will be milky any more.for the buzz I like I m an expert at relaxing . so harvest clear head ache uplifting buzz only lasts for a short time .. harvest when they are all cloudy milky max thc most people like it that stoners all of my so called patients fake back injuries lol just want to party.. more amber or a mix of both . then you get a combo . my advice is cut some off now and have fun smoke it and leave some going for another 3 or 5 days to they get totally brown . see the difference for your self . I personally like to sit on the couch and play xbox and find my self drifting off into the tv , and soon im actually in the game for real life . fun fun.
