This morning I decided to try and clone my 20 day old plant. I followed all the steps minus rooting powder. The cutting is in a rapid rooter on a heating pad in my grow tent. What do you guys think? Think itll just die? I really hope she roots. I'll keep my rooter as moist as possible. Its sitting in 1/4 inch of water. 20200807_110712.jpg20200807_110709.jpg

I always use a bubble cloner now. It’s so simple and get roots in under 10 days. And you can veg them for a bit in the cloner too which is nice.

Don't leave it in that water. Shake out most of the water. Keep covered. Cut a water bottle in half and plop it inside and set the top part back on. Leave it alone until you see roots

a heating mat is not normally recommended for cloning, more of a seedling thing.
maybe a humidity dome/or other for sponge cloning.
IMHO, aero cloners are the way to go for ease & reliability.

So am I putting the rapid rooter and the clone in the bottom of the bottle and then just put the top on over it? No water in the bottlem
You don't want it sitting in water, higher chance of damping off.
RR should be "moist" not soaking wet.
"Domeing" it, is to hold humidity, either a cut in half plastic bottle, plastic bag or other.
You then mist with a spray bottle daily to keep moisture up.

Ok lid on should I just open lid couple times a day?
you really shouldn't need to, you will need to remove the bottle once or twice a day to mist, that will exchange oxygen for you.
Try not to mess with the cutting or RR ( don't go digging for roots )
Patience is the most important thing right now.

Okay. I will only touch it to take the top off and mist it twice a day. I will leave it sitting there and wont bother it. I'll check for roots by looking through the bottle. Will keep updated and once it's ready for soil you can let me know and I'll plant her! If she roots
