Hello everyone. Thanks in advance for any replies. I have to go out of town for 2 days and have no one I can have feed my plants. Will it hurt them to go a couple of days without feeding?
Please stop giving advice on coco if you haven't heard of feeding daily. That is normal for coco. Multifeeds 5-6 times daily is also normal for coco.Hell no. I never heard of feeding everyday, at least for me, indoor or outdoor......I guess you could titrate if feeding every day.....doesn't sound right...maybe you meant watering?
How often are you feeding now?My plants are in week 2 of flower. They are in 7 gallon pots. I hope the pics help. Thanks everyone for the replies.
Coco is fed with nutrients every day.Hell no. I never heard of feeding everyday, at least for me, indoor or outdoor......I guess you could titrate if feeding every day.....doesn't sound right...maybe you meant watering?
I am feeding twice daily. They top layer of medium is just starting to dry when I feed. The two big ones in the back require more nutrients than the ones in the front. Can someone show me what parts to buy to automate my set up. I do not leave for a week and will have the parts overnighted to me to automate. Thanks everyone for the replies.your help is much appreciated. How often are you feeding now?
If daily, how dry are they before your next feed?
The test would be to try it before you go away to make sure.
I’ve just purchased these for automating my own.I am feeding twice daily. They top layer of medium is just starting to dry when I feed. Thanks for sharing the info. I will be ordering those parts today. Much thanks and appreciation for your help.I’ve just purchased these for automating my own.
just need a timer.
this will allow me to make drip rings and punch holes in them.
13mm tee’s barbed I bought a 5 pack but only need 3 for 2 plants.
Hailea HX 1500 is enough power for me.
5m of 13mm ID hose.
connect hose to pump and feed to area required.
Make drip rings using the T’s and the hose and punch holes in the ring for drips to coke from.
connect it all together and test it works. Then use timer to automate the on off of the pump.View attachment 4924547
If you are feeding your coco every 2-3 days then you aren't using it correctly. You might as well use soil.Depends what kind of coco you're using. I have some coco that can go 2-3 days without a problem and I have some that can't go longer than 24 hours. If I were you I would give them a really good watering/feed with organic liquid and make sure humidity is not too low and you'll be alright for 48 hours. Salt feed might hurt the plant more once it drys out.
No I feed once a day but I've been in the same situation as the op and all my coco plants that I feed organic liquid didn't skip a beat. The ones I feed jacks did show stress signs after 48 hours. If you are feeding your coco every 2-3 days then you aren't using it correctly. You might as well use soil.
Once a day these were planted end of April. I don't know if these count as big plants but I'm running out of head room. Pics don't do them justice. Bottom left one the small one is soil. I feed one tent with jacks and rest with this https://www.amazon.com/Plant-Magic-Food-Organic-Fertilizer/dp/B0059W6H6KI'm feeding 4x a day in coco right now, but I'm only 2-weeks into flowering and they are drinking a lot, so I might add one more irrigation cycle a day. Dried out coco is the last thing you want. If you can get away with only one feeding a day, your plants must be tiny. I just use regular drip emitters, but use 4 per pot, and always get the pressure compensating ones. Snapped this pic a day or two ago @ 2-weeks 12/12..

Your plants look good. I scrog the crap out of mine, so they drink a lot. If I went a day without watering, it wouldn't be good for me.Once a day these were planted end of April.
