So I've been posting a few threads kinda asking the same questions, now that I've hollowed the dresser it's "Daaamm Rookie!! Back at again wit da questions"

So I might go with setup A using 4 corsair Sp120 cpu fans, (intake+exhaust) a few cfl lights and trying to build a carbon filter. Where should it go?

I planned on using coco, how should I prep it?

And how can I use 3 gal pots and keep the plant from over growing?

3 gallon pots will be fine I use 2 gallon pots in a similar set up. you do not need to worry about overgrowing as long as you tend your flowers.

Ask yourself:
how much distance will you have from the top of the bucket to the bottom of the light when the light is at the highest position in the box (my reco is to have your height be adjustable, mine is on chains)?

-->take this distance with the height your stain is supposed to grow. If you are tight on space you may have to trim your first /highest branch (trim at the node of two other branches), or potentially do this several times to keep you plant at bay. you can also tie sting to "pull your plant down/over" if it gets out of hand in the box. worst comes to worst it will burn and you will loose some yield.

If I use 2 gal pots I'll have maybe 1.5 ft to grow, and I could possibly use topping or Lst but I've also seen scrog, where should I start to learn about that? I want to keep it simple but I also want a decent batch as well
I planned to start with northern lights fem or Aurora indica fem (nirvana) I haven't ordered yet tho I'm trying to have as much info as I can before I start

I highly recommend lst, it keeps your whole canopy at the same distance from the light so you don't get any monster colas but you get lots of decent sized stuff and you get to control the height of the plant. My other half would only let me experiment on one plant in our first crop, the ww in my journal, so I just have one flat plant! And the others were all taller than it so it didn't really get a fair trial but it still did pretty damn well, and the whole plant is probably less than a foot tall, compared to the others that are at least 3 or 4 foot. I didn't do that one until fairly late in veg but my cheese plants were topped, fimmed and trained to control size from very early on because I needed them to stay in the veg closet a few months, they're proper sturdy looking little things, exploding now at 4 weeks in flower.
I'm going to keep using coco, it's great except for the damn gnats! Use bricks, they're less likely to be full of gnats, and don't overwater! My cheese plants are in coco only and it takes forever to try, my white widows had perlite in but I should've used more, they were my first grow, the coco seemed to shrink towards the end, like once the roots had filled up the coco it seemed to compact slightly. My heisenberg specials have a much higher percentage of perlite than the others did, about 40-45%, and are in smart pots, they dry so much faster and I prefer it that way although I'd still like another 10-20% perlite but I'm at home a lot to keep an eye on them drying out and hand water, if I had less time to spend on them then more coco would work great.
That's the only stuff you mentioned I have experience with, good luck with your grow man, hope you learn a lot and it goes well for you :peace:

That answers the over growing, what about where should I put the carbon filter that I built, and how should I prep the coco do I just rinse well with water? An thanks, I've learned a lot kinda from this site so I'll keep posting and when I start I'll start the journal

I've never rinsed my coco, although I know people do, so I can't really say and I don't have a carbon filter so I have no idea how to get best use from them. Someone will though, and I'm sure if you have a look at some of the old timers' threads you'll find everything you need.
