K so i am switching from coir to dwc just to lean.. I got buckets 8" netpots.. air pumps. 6" round stones.. I have a couple of issues i am having a hard time figuring out.. I am only doing 2 buckets in a 2x4 tent so nothing major.

I plan on doing the 2 buckets with just a 90 degree elbow with a clear tube upward like a hydrofarm kit just to use as a sight glass. The main problem i am trying to figure out is, my tents are only 5' tall so i really don't have room to raise the buckets. When the plants are young i can just move them to a empty bucket, empty their bucket and refill the water/nutes.. But what should i do when the plants are large with colas and a scrog? I have been watching videos and no one even shows how they fill res's where you can't lift the plant out anymore?

My pumps are double outlet but i am only going to be using one stone per bucket.. i assume block the second outlet? or should i just T it and let both outlets try to feet the stone?

P.S. Just went and looked.. the pumps are activaqua 7.8 liter per minute is that enough for 1 bucket each?
and of course the guy at the store sold me the wrong tubing.. off to HD in the morn...

I'm not looking for massive yield, just a decent grow.

This is why you don't do single site DWC. You wanna connect both buckets to a reservoir that's outside the tent. That's what you use to empty, fill, and everything inbetween.
But if you're already at this point using single sites, just simply fill it from the site tube, Ya doof!!!

Find a dwc grow journal that was successful and copy thier setup

I do single dwc buckets with a site tube, to drain it-hook a shop vac to the sight tube and suck it out, takes 5secs. I leave the little bit in the bottom you can't get every drop, don't worry about that.

I refill by pouring fresh nutes thru the top. You need to lolipop your plants so there is room underneath the canopy to pour stuff into the net pot to refill. Anyways good luck

No bother mate. I've attached some pics of a design I came up with myself to suit my set up. Same as you 5ft tent but I lifted the whole tent up on a pellet. The submersible pump in the large tote siphons back to Res when switched off so I just have my feed tube at a height I want to cut off. 2 over sized drain holes so no overflow... I plan on connecting 4 tubs in the tent shortly...

This is called an RDWC, with a central reseviour, as opposed to a DWC.

Single site DWCs are harder work, but reduce the likelyhood of root rot spreading to all the plants.

Both setups have their advantages, personally I prefer DWC for the reason above.

Yes RDWC is easier, but getting 3 months into a grow only for all of your plants to get root rot because one did on a recirculating system is something I'd rather avoid.

Personally I think Brummy Bubblers are the best systems out there for monster plants, but you do need to veg for upwards of six weeks.

Do it properly and you can expect 8-10oz (250-300g) per plant.

Have my first grow in its 3rd week of flour, (soil). Took my first attempt at cloning, 10 FOR 10(beginers luck). But Im really excited I am starting my first hydro grow, two buckets 10" net pots(only because they didnt have 8"). Have 8" bubblers and for shits and giggles i threw in an ultrasonic fogger. Havent picked a nutrient for this yet so any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Would like to keep as organic as possibel but I do understand that some things cant be avoided.
