My friend does not know how to use a computer very well, so asked me to post this so he could get advice and share his experiences. He hopes you enjoy!
So, here is the information on the grow:
Dutch Passion Blueberry seeds
FoxFarm fertilizers and supplements
Coco coir/perlite 50/50 mix
600w digital ballast
SuperNova sealed/cooled reflector
4" 173CFM inline fan
5'x5'x7' grow room
Beginning construction of the grow room:
Ultraflect covering, lighting, cooling, and carbon filter installed -
Up:
Down:
Inline fan:
Some of the light penetrates the reflective plastic, so a second layer of 3mil black plastic is being put around the walls and being used as a ceiling. Has proven to block 100% of the light from escaping the room.
A few questions about coco coir:
1. How much coco coir would I need for 5 plants (buying the 3-brick packs that expand to 2.5 cubic feet)?
2. I've read that you will need to leach it of sea-salts. Being that that product is specifically for growing, it probably doesn't need to be leached, but I'll do it anyway. I've read you may also need to add epsom salts for mg/ca. At what rate does the epsom salt get added?
3. As far as adding the Foxfarm organic ferts, how often would I add those? Would I just follow the soil schedule?
Thanks for looking. More pics to come
