Lighting: 600w HPS, 150w CFL to start off.
Venting: 4" Fantronix TT100.
Nutrients: Bio Bizz Grow, Bloom & Top Max.
Area: 4'x4' Secret Jardin Tent
Conainer & Medium: Bio Bizz Light soil, 1L & 15L Air Pots.
Method: Might do a bit of LST?
Seeds & Strain: 6 X Serious Seeds AK-47

Easy all, cutting my teeth on this one and it seems to be going alright so far.
Here's my story:

Germinated in kitchen roll, sat at 28ish C under my CFL, 5 popped in 24hrs, 1 took nearer 48hrs.

Now they're all in 1L Air Pots, 5 sprouts appeared and the runt I'm still waiting on.

The sprouts all look fairly different, 2 are about 2", one is more like 1" and the other 2 are just broken through.

Pics are below, was wondering if the bigger ones are stretching at all?
I pulled the light down to be sure but hit 34C / 94F so pulled it back up sharpish!
What's the max temp I can get away with?

Have been potted 2 days without water since initial soaking, looks ok now, think a sprinkling may be order tomorrow though?

Stay tuned for part 2!

good luck man! I am a newb too so I cant comment on the streching but mine looked very similar to start out and I had 12 cfl's right on top of them.
Those pots tho man....I have never seen them before. They are called air pots?

Ta! And Janna yeah they're called Air-Pots, the holes are supposed to let the soil aerate and the uneven surfaces promote root growth. Also you can take the sides off for easy transplants. They are a bit leaky though!

Yeah they're only good for soil mate, think I will move onto hydro later but get soil nailed first. What's your setup?

Heres the update for:

Day 4

All pots got a little sprinkle of water yesterday, all sprouted now and proper leaves have appeared!

Two on the right still only showing cotelydons though. Don't think my CFL lamp has enough spread on it.

Also still a little worried about stretch, the tallest is about 2.5"
Have got the lamp right over them now, 2 or 3" away, temps are pretty high (90F!)
but they don't seem to suffer for it?

Am really considering getting the 600W HPS out to even out the light spread and stop stretching without the high temps, can anyone advise?

Peace!

Day 6

I switched to my 600w HPS because I didn't think the 125W CFL was doing the job and got some SERIOUS temperature problems. Is temporarily fixed at 85F with a wide open window and a little input fan but I've ordered a 400cfm extractor and will be using my current extractor to bring in cold air from my chimney. Hopefully this means I won't need a window open 24/7 and can bring my light in a little closer.

Plant wise they seem to have pretty much stopped stretching, so the HPS is doing its thing. I repotted a particularly tall one deeper, might do the same with the others, they're still quite leggy. There's generally some good growth, but I think 2 of the 6 are pretty fucked, if not dead.

Here's the current setup:

And the healthy ones:

This one has tried to push some leaves through, but the tips turned crispy.
Think it's beyond hope now.

And this one has a little purple tip trying to come through, might still have a chance?

Anyone know what's up with these runts?
Also I notice the edges are turning up, couldn't find anything that said this (on its own) was bad though? Any thoughts?
Any other comments appreciated too!

So they're two weeks old and they're looking pretty good, even starting to smell good! Am amazed how quickly they're coming on really.

The two mutated runts bit the dust, more light for the gooduns now though.

I was getting temp issues so switched back to the CFL on 24hrs, seems to be doing the trick now it only has 4 mouths to feed.

I've got me a bigger (400CFM) extractor now and am thinking about a cooled hood, will have to do some experimenting to get the big HPS workable.

My only worries atm is that some leaves are a bit droopy and there is a yellow tinge on one plants bottom leaves. Seeing as its a light soil mix it's probably time for nutes soon.
