Hey what's up guys ? I just finished putting together the framing of my first grow closet using cfl's had a couple of questions you guys might be able to help me with...i plan on growing no more than six plants in there the dimensions are 28"long 19" deep and 57"high i wanna use a t5 set up and was wondering if 14,000 lumens at 196w would be sufficient....wanted to use 4 bulbs on top and two on either side.... thanks for the input guys!!!

ohh i forgot to mention the room will be used for only vegging guys!!
I was planning on using 6 computer fans 3 on each side between the two t5's to both, cool side lamps and provide circulation as well as having a 9" fan on the floor aimed upward to cool the four t5's....as for exhaust was thinking of using a 90cfm bathroom fan...will a bathroom ehaust be enough??? thanks guys

if its just for vegging and ur using cfls and t5s that should be fine for veg growing room
I was thinking of going straight t5's will that be ok or should i use 4 cfl's along the side instead of 4 t5's????thanks for the input guys!!!! will post up pics tomorrow sorry its the long weekend and I've got a weddingto go to!!!!!

That should be fine for vegging. Not sure you need the side lighting, might just try it with the four on top. I'd also make the T5's one red and three blue, just to mix the spectrum up.
Thanks for the advice...with the spectrum..i was told to use soft white for vegging?
how about a red, a blue and two soft whites???

My personal advice is that you ditch the whites and concentrate on blues (~6500k) and red (~3000k) when using fluorescents. For my own vegging area I run 2x55w 6500k and 1x55w 3000k. I know plenty of people who use all 6500k for vegging, and it works for them, I just prefer a mixed spectrum.
