From seed to bowl, I am done with my first harvest. Hooray! I got some Northern Lights from Nirvana, which turned out to be the only strain I got from them that managed to make it past seedling. In Nirvana's defense, though, it was my first effort. After drying in a cabinet for 4 days, I weighed it all out and yielded 13.5 ounces from a single female. I know now that I put the buds into glass mason jars a little two early, as only 6.5 ounces survived without mold growing. I opened the jars twice a day, but left them open overnight for a week after I discovered the mold. The 5 surviving jars have been opened twice a day for 2 weeks after that, and have been sitting locked down for 2 weeks in a warm room, just to make sure no more mold was going to grow.
While I was flowering them, I began construction on a proper mother/clone/veg room. I took the door off a walk-in closet and built my own door with exhaust and intake. I have completed the construction of the DIY flood and drain controller and 5 gallon bucket system complete with water chillers. I spent WAY too much money trying to build my own bucket system, and still wound up spending WAY too much money on a pre-fabricated bucket system.
I have the controller for the flowering cabinet built as well, but have as of yet to complete the bucket system. Maybe this weekend. The grow I just completed was done in a single 3 1/2 gallon DWC bucket. I now have 5 White Widow seedlings I got from The Attitude just beginning their journey. The system I started with is barely visible among the system these seedlings will grow up in.
Anyway, thanks for letting me brag on myself a little. It is incredibly frustrating to have something this awesome going on and not being able to share it with a single living soul.
