Hi everyone. Just thought I'd share the progress I've made on my first ever grow. I started from a feminized hawaiian haze x plum seed about a month ago, had some nute burn problems early on, but am now in a nice veg, and plan on starting to flower in 10-14 days, depending on height/etc. I would veg longer, but I'm leaving for a month near the end of december, so am trying to time it to start flowering 9 weeks before I leave. (info from sensei seeds indicates 55-60 days flower) Anyway,

Lighting:
I've got a 400w MH on a switchable ballast + plain old reflector set up in my tent.
(will switch to hps for flowering)

Ventilation:
2 120mm case fans for intake
inline fan + 2600 can filter for exhaust

So, I have a few questions: first, do I have 2 main growing tips already? I never topped or trimmed this little fellow, except for some heavily burned leaves early on..

I also see some small preflowers.. am I dreaming, or is this plant already hitting maturity, and just possibly a bit stunted?

Should I trim off the partially burned leaves from my early nutrient overzealousness? or should I just let them be?

Finally, If I do have to start flowering early, what is the bare minimum height the plant should be at to have a decent yield? (although any yield for my first grow will be icing on the cake) (it's about 5 inches right now)

Oh yeah, some eye candy:

I always trim or pull off the dead or discolored leaves. Your plants look healthy so I wouldn't remove any of those leaves. You can switch to 12 12 anytime you want really. Guess it depends on how much space and height you have. The longer in veg the bigger and taller the plants gets, hence bigger and taller during flower stage. I'm about to do scrog so I guess I'll be vegging a little longer but I usually start 12 12 between 1 and 2 feet, roughly 3-5 weeks. I usually end up with a finished plant of around 4-5 feet. My yield with hydro is usually 2-5 O's a plant. So plenty for me and my buds. Guess it just depends on preference and how much space you have to work with. Nice little setup. Simple I like that.
