first grow ever, any help is apreciated!

ok so im gettin 5 clones and ive been reading through forums and wondering.... wats veging? it sounds like its just allowing the roots to grow and get strong. do u need a light to do this or can you put them in sunlight for a couple hours a day until theyre ready for full sunlight and are put in the ground. its probably a dumb question but any help is very appreciated thanks!!

read on vocabulary terms for questions like this. vegging is when vour plants are growing into maturity. or getting ready to produce fruit or pollen

thanks for the fast responses... do i need to put the clone under a light or can i use sunlight instead cause im goin to be growing outdoors?

use sunlight if you want mate,or you could put them under a light. just depends on how sunny it is where you are.

thanks man the place where imma put em gets sun from morning till night.... i shouldnt put them out there all day right away right?? nd is there a way to tell when theyre ready to be transplanted from the pot to the ground?

if it is warm enough out side .. dont let em suffer ..

if night tems is to cold use Pots to start with so you can take em inside at night .. plant them out when its hot enough and the plants is big enough to survive and compete and vipstand bugs aso.

(you could even put em in under a small clf/tube at night inside to give em more light/24/7 days ..


doing veg. they wont need as stong light as once they flower .. so as long as it is +14 hrs light out side you will be fine ..

use logic .. its a plant .. not rocket science ..


and yea .. do as Ppl. say .. read some guids and use the search function and read other threads that can answer basic questions ..

once you got the basic in place (like Veggin) you can begin to ask more usefull questions and be able to understand the answers aswell ..

and dont think you can learn it all now .. or tomorrow .. or next week .. get them basics in order .. try to keep it simple and use commen sense/logic .. and after some mistakes and a few grows you will grow monster x-mass trees that give you +1 pound each (mine did when I grew out side)

I did just for funn (as I did grow out door years ago and wanted to see what the internet would have helpd with if I/we had it back then)

and I found many usefull tips for out side growing .. like getting good dirt to begin with and dig a big hole and fill in the good dirt before planting the plant in the ground aso. back then we just plantet the seedling in the ground ..

I usealy had them in pots like fist 4 weeks or so .. all of may (as we could get frost in may at night) and then when juni cam and real summer began I plantet them in the ground ..

another good thing about useing pot`s is that you can move em around .. to "collect" sun so to speak .. if your home and dont mind the littel "work" ..

now I dont know how your garden looks like and if it is totaly private ?

but if you do use a fence to shild them .. you could consider to paint it white and of course use commen sense and plant in a place wher it get the most direct sun .. mid day .. unless .. you got extram condissions .. like you live in dessert land .. then you might want morning or evening sun and some shade at mid day .. but in most cases you want as much/strongest sun as possible ..

Ooh yea and remember to search for nutriens .. like chicken manure and other natruel stuff if you can get that ? also collect rain water and water them in the morning if possible ..

put yourself in ther place and try to imagen what they need to be happy .. I guess you need weed .. water/soft drink food and sleep to be happy ..
they need light .. nutriens .. oxygen/co2 aso.

out side is easy if you can avoyd bugs/cops and thifs !
its mostly watering and watching your growth ..

so here they are... sorry for the sideways photo. the one in the back is the tallest at 5" the 2 in the front are the bushiest and ya

yea well .. the more bushy one do look like it have leave burns ?

but beside that I guess they are ok ..
I would keep em in the pots for a few weeks .. untill they are a bit bigger ..

so small seedlings/clones is easy pray for bugs/killer snails and heavy rain/storms aso.
a good root system is also nice to have .. and if you got good dirt in them pots you schould be fine for a few weeks in nutriens ..

dunno about your out side temps and if its summer ther now aso. ?

but what I mostly did when growing out side .. was as I said .. to get em going a bit early ..

so mostly 1th of may I plantet the seeds in small one gallon pots and made them germinat ..
then moved them out side evry morning and in evry night untill end of may when night frost was`t a problem anymore ..

then I had all of june and july to veg em before august/september when they did flower ..

that way you get yourself a good start ..

with my knoleges I have now .. I would mostlikely start them under a cheap T5 fixture and keep em ther at night aswell to give em 24 hrs days in the start ..

and I would also buy some nice dirt and some nice peetmoss and lega and sand and mix some good dirt for em and dig a big hole and fill it before I transplantet them in the ground ..

find a spot wher the sunn hits most of the day .. remove any plants just next to them (I reccon you will anyway if you give them fresh dirt)

and read some threads/guides about out side nutriens .. guess they wont need much outside ... but Im sure you can boost your haverst with some ..

ya the one on the left and the tallest one has a little bit and i think its nitrogen def but not positive on that
