First Grow Ever! PC Stealth

hey everyone, im new to growing and after a year of research and then 6 month of boredom i decided to start my very own Stealth PC Grow with some bagseed my friend gave me. I am currently trying my shot at germinating the 3 seeds and so hopefully atleast one will sprout tonight or tommorrow because its been 2 days now
If you guys want i will post some pics of my grow box.... now for some specs!:::

Size: no idea approx. 12"(inches) tall, 12" long and maybe 6" wide... unfortunately since it is a stealth grow i did not have time to take out part of the case so i am only able to use 2/3 :s
Lighting: 2 23watt 2700k CFL's, i also have another bulb i am thinking of putting in because it seems that the 2 cfls do not put out enough heat at all
Fans: 1 80mm fan and 1 120mm fan both fabricated with phone charger
i used a space blanket because i was told they were made of mylar and they are reflecting like 100x better then the crappy tin foil i had in before...

it is my birthday soon so i might go buy a big pc case and start a new better grow but in the meantime hoepfully y'all stay tuned.


(any help on getting these seeds to sprout would be great. i put em in paper towel with water, and read that u should let them soak in water first so i did that, and they all sunk so i put em in a damp cloth, and now they are in my furnace room taped onto the vent so their nice and toasty. and dark. I did get them and they were pretty white but now they are all swollen and dark. ones kinda green. anyone know if they are gonna work or not? or am i just really impatient?

UPDATE: Just spent the past 2 1/2 hours prying through metal and re-mylaring (mylaring? ) my pc grow so now i have 7/8 of the space the only thing i couldn't get out was the dvd and cd rom holder cuz it's built in. I then took off the front and taped/cardboarded everything so now even with my lights off it is almost impossible to tell the lights are on in their ... Its a little late so I will upload some pics of the grow box and of my seeds (hopefully sprouted) tommorrow. night everyone


EDIT:: So today i took the 3 seeds and put them just under the dirt because i highly doubt they are gonna work .... but luckily it's my B-day on the 18th so i am gonna get some dough does anyone know where i can get some seeds that ship in an inconspicuous / stealth manner? thanks in advance for whoever replies cuz I am trying to get them asap

As Promise here are the pics of my box and grow so far

the first is of my box with it in place and on the second is when it is out and off the third is of is on 4th is of it on i believe and the last one is of the side.. it is amazing how stealthy this thing is only problem im having is i believe i am goin to have to put in some type of crap bulb to heat it up in their does anyone know any other way to get it hotter?

what temps are you currently having in there?

Will love to watch how this one works out, PC grows are my only option so they are what i take the biggest interest in.

use bigger bulbs or more bulbs to make it hotter, cold issues in a PC grow are very good IMO, i couldn't keep my temp below 83 f

i unfortunately cant take the temps right now because i don't have a thermometer i can find but judging from where my plant is right now it is about 20 Celsius on the dirt and it is drying once or twice a day so its pre good ... once my bday hits i am ordering some seeds from attitude also i wont be able to get more or bigger bulbs till the canadian tire near my house is open sometime this spring

RRain- ya i know im currently doing it stealth because it is also my only way to grow hopefully one of these guys sprouts soon but if not 2 weeks from the 18th and u guys will have a kick ass grow to follow

Strains: I am looking at ordering G13 labs pineapple express fem. or auto fem.(5 seeds) not sure yet on which one... and then some KC Brains KC36 Regs.(10 seeds). i will try turning off the exhaust fan nd jst leaving the smaller intake fan on.

Should the insdie be warm/hot or just near the plant?



UPDATE!!!:: Hey guys I was just able to find an old lava lamp so i took it apart and since the light it came with is gone i am going to mountain in my PC case with the mounting piece it came with so my question is should i use an incandescent, a small flood light cuz they produce alot of heat, or another cfl? the cfls i have in their are normal household 2700k cfls

UPDATE: V2 for the day k so i added the 3rd cfl lamp thing after like 20 minutes of drilling and wiring and re taping and taping up hole i stabbed haha.... Right away i could feel the temp raise so hopesfully it'll grow me some babies before i get my bought seeds

But.. I'm confused.. what do high temps do? >.< I had three 23w CFL's in my cab via socket to plug adapters on a powerstrip and it was perfect.. I recommend you try this it'll keep the space used by your lighting setup to a minimum. I always wanted to do a PC, only think is I couldn't find one big enough haha. They have a rather large one w/ absolutely no guts on Walmart.com that I liked but it was $50 some dollars give or take, tent all the way for that price

Regarding the strains I'm gonna get through a 5 pack of papaya seeds from nivrana then was planning on doing a 5 pack of G13 Labs Pineapple express, I think I saw them on attitude or nivrana. If you do a grow of that my eyes will be peeling too. Hope it's ok if I ask this quick question here as I didn't feel it needs its own thread. Basicly I had 4 of each, 2700k CFLs for veg and 3500k for flower (can't check right now, pretty sure those numbers are correct but you know, the ones you see on here most often) and being the clutz I am I accidently smashed one of the veg bulbs, would I be better off adding a flower bulb to the mix for vegging or leaving it with 3 veg bulbs and using 4 when I flower. Thanks in advance for a response.

Using both 2700k and 6500k bulbs at once is called dual spectrum lighting. When a plant is in veg it needs more blue light aswell as a little red light, vise versa for flowering, so 3 6500k & 1 2700k bulb would be perfect for veg, 3 2700k and 1 6500k would be perfect for flowering. Hope this helps sir. I think you meant 6500k instead of 3500k also

ahh man. Next time if you make another box for more room, you can remove all of the guts by getting a tiny drill bit and drilling out the rivots that hold the metal in place cheers and have fun! Check out my project on the go. This is my first grow too

ya that why if i showed u now i think itd have more space the only thing i couldnt get out was the dvd drive because the drill was loud enough the first time but the second time i was just like nooooopeee

hey i think i got the temp issues resolved when i added another cfl

nice pc , what color is the new bulb ?

same as the rest 3 soft white 23watt 2700k cfls i cant really go buy em in my small ass town

ya i might get a ride sometime nd buy some real soil nd better lights max 50 bucks tho
