hey ronno....congrats on ur first grow...and ive had the same problem with the hairs turning brown before myself....i believe its from being to close to the lights...i could be wrong, but thats my conclusion....what watt light do u use??

ganjaluva2009- question is buds look small for 1/2 way done and the hairs, on the mendo purps only, keep dryng and reforming drying and reforming. when u look closley threw a microscope it looks likes a bunch off calax growing with burnt hair, then new onsw comw and throw new hairs, is that normal?. the tricks are all mostly clear with some small amber here and there??. axcually lookes like some of them had burst (tricks) the small amber ones just a few. On the brown calyx hairs you mention, I don't know for sure but i think it's a genetics thing. I have a bagseed I'm growing now, and it started sprouting hairs JUST LIKE YOU DESCRIBED. I usually grow strains that I've ordered, and this bagseed is the first that I've grown indoors that I didn't buy from a seed bank. I've never seen this before. This looks different than my buds that are getting bleached by the light being too close.
As for the dip, that's just water. I always water-cure the small nugs from the bottom of the plant as I get lazy with trimming and hanging, so I don't feel like being bothered hanging them up like the bigger buds.
