Hey all. Hope this message finds you all well. I bought 3 femmed jack flash seeds last time I was in Amsterdam. I deceided to plant one of them. I planted her on the 12th of Dec after gemination. I topped her once at the very early stage of vegging and twice more during her 2 months of vegging. I also lst'ed her in every possible way I started flowering her on the 10th of Feb. and decided to scrog her 5 days after. I did not see any sign of stress since she was already very short, wide and bushy. Now I'm in the 5th week of flowering. and I have 5 more to go according to the seed company. I counted over 60 tops and all sugar coated already. A few days ago I noticed a couple balls under one of the younger buds. Balls were also sugar coated. I took out the entire bud and fixed a very tiny crack where light possibly would be leaking into my cabin. No sign of hermies again. however, I did not see any bananas yet. I guess I'm aware that once you spot a hermie it's too late and I'm no longer expecting a sensimilla harvest. I also noticed some of the buds' pistils turned amber but new pistil growth is noticable too. I'm not very lucky with the nutes because it is not possible to find specific kinds in my city and didn't have the balls to order online in case of monitoring. So I use regular household plant nutes with equal amount of NPK and trace elements and also carob malossis each time I water. I made my own soilless mix with coco, perlite and peat. She loves it and she has a huge root growth all thick, white and covered with tiny hairs.
My cabin is 70cm 50 cm. Flowering under 400W HPS 2200K. Temp 65F-80F. Hum. 45-65. She smells like fresh ground coffee and bubble gum like fruity combined
Until this day I used my guts and I believed I did a good work. However I feel like it's time for some advice. I have a few quetions to ask.
-Should I expect my entire plant to turn hermie?
-Should I get rid of the smaller buds and help plant focus on the major ones?
-I never clipped the fan leaves to get more lights to the bottom, Instead I twisted them to another direction and they seem to be doing just fine. But there is too many fan leaves since my canopy is so tight. Should I clip some?
and any advice I could get.
Best Regards,
Me
