first grow frustrations

I wanted my first grow to be easy. I didn't want to get into anything to complicated.

I bought clfs for vegging and 1000w hps for flowering.

I bought happy frog soil because I was told I wouldn't have to add nutes for the first 30 waterings or so. (I have no nutes but I can go buy some if needed)

I bought clones from a reputable dispensary.

Ph'd my water (but figured out that my meter is broken so right now I'm without a good ph meter) my buddy brought his over, it is a very old analog thing with a needle that points to each number. Problem with his is that it can only measure whole numbers, so it came out at 7, but that means anywhere from 6.5 to 7.49. When I measured with my broken ph meter, the closest I could get it was around 6.8 but I was told that is close enough for soil.

I've had the clones for 2 weeks, I've watered maybe 3 or 4 times.

The temp under the clfs were a bit on the high side for the first week. Around 94 degrees, I put a fan in there and the temp is pretty even around 77 degrees for the second week.

One of my girls is growing great since the temp drop but my other three are not doing well at all. I've posted about one of them before so I won't mention her here.
My blue dreams seem to have a deficiency. There is yellowing on the leaves starting on the edges is working its way in. The lower leaves were affected first and now it's working its way up. There is very little, if any, new growth. There is leaf curl.

I bought a good soil so I wouldn't have to deal with deficiencies this early on.

I'm going to go get a ppm meter and a new ph meter today. What should kind of numbers should I be looking for when I flush my soil?

Ok. I got a new ph meter (actually the store replaced my defective one)

I measured my tap water 6.68 then I measured the water I adjusted two weeks ago with the broken meter, 6.98. I've been watering my ffhf soil with this 6.98 water for the last two weeks. (3 waterings, no nutes)

6.98 shouldn't be enough to cause nutes lock out in soil, should it?

I was going to do a flush and measure the ph of that water coming out but I'm thinking I should wait for the next watering (probably a day or two till the next watering) or should I just go ahead and do it now?

Its not a deficiency imo its a toxicity, leaf curl is normally too much n, damp soil locks out p which can cause small dark leaves as well as angled leaves. Potassium or calcium cause serations on the leaves to burn....I would stop watering so much and learn more about the nutrients I'm by no means an expert but hopefully that will get you started

its overwatering. its not anything else but that.

You have to be careful with seedling and clones....sometimes even more with clones. If a soil is hot meaning has food it can give it to much while trying to establish and burn your plant. PH is not going to be a big issue in soil sounds like you know what your putting in and that is fine. Is that two plants in the same container? I agree to much water, don't flush or your only going to add to that. Let her dry out before you water again and don't feed yet.

I love when people say is overwatering.

I've watered 3 times in 15 days. I wait til the top inch of soil is bone dry before I water.

The only plant that had been watered 4 times is the plant that is actually growing and it's healthy.

The other three started showing signs right after the first watering. Does that mean I over watered the very first time I watered?

Its very possible....besides it looks soaking wet

best way to tell when to water is by weight..lift the pot when it's dry and after you soak the medium, water when it starts to feel light...does look like overwater tho

I agree that it looks like their overwatered. BUT I just can't imagine how that would be.
I've watered 3 times in 15 days. It was hot in the box for the first week (which aids evaporation) and the last week, they've had a fan on them (also aids in evaporation)
I dig down about an inch to make sure that there is no moisture.
In fact, I was so worried about overwatering that I waited for the soil to dry so much it pulled away from the sides of the pot.
If anything, I feel like I'm under watering.

The one plant that is doing great is the one plant that I've watered more then the other plants.

I'll try to figure out how to use the moisture meter. Maybe that'll help.

Sorry if I came across as ungrateful or sarcastic. I'm just a little frustrated right now. I really do appreciate everyone commenting and trying to help.
