First Grow! God's Haze With PICS

Hey guys this is my first grow im doing aaaannd im kinda starting this journal a bit late im about a week and 2 days into it. so im jus gon run thru a quick RECAP for my intro. PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE COMMENTS AND HELPFUL LINKS OR EVEN CRITISISM this is my first time! THANK YOU

I germinated 5 seeds of "duke of cannabis god's haze" on August 5th, 2009 and all germinated very well on August 8th.

DAY 1 August 8th, 2009 - I planted the 5 seeds in 16" pots with miracle grow soil. The seeds were placed about an inch and a half deep in soil. I have 2 florescent lights 40 watts each hanging about the pots about 2 inches away and are on a 18/6 cycle.

Day 3 August 10th, 2009 - 4 seedlings have seemed to of sprouted and come above the soil as little babies. WOOO MY BABIES HAVE MADE IT ABOVE THE SOIL! but still no sign of the 5th one yet...

temperature seems to be okay. ...

Day 4 August 11th, 2009 -The 5th Seed has finally sprouted to i guess its like a day behind hopefully it catches up with the others and doesn't effect nothing.. . temperature and humidity percentage seem to be doing good .

Day 8 August 14th, 2009 - Okay finally almost done with the quick recap im jus trying to run thru to get to where i am rite now.. so n e ways its day 8 and i got some pics of them BUT they are taken from a cell phone please bare with me for now im going to be getting digital camera pics up soon... PLEASE DO FREE TO COMMENT OR CRITICISE OR ASK OR EVEN JUS POST SUM HELPFUL INFO THANX!!

pic #1 is basically of the set up a little of my lights and my pots the 6th pot on the floor has no seed in it only soil was going to do a 6th one but i didn't.

Pic #2-5 is of my 5 little babies*the leafs are green in the second pic it looks like yellow spots but its not its jus water drops* *cell phone camera*

pic # 7 is of the pots I'm using which is a 16" pot

Day 10 August 16th, 2009 - 2 More leafs have come out! i hope its going okay... n e suggestions? i had a question on if its okay that im starting my seeds in a 16" pot because i noticed people start from small cups, but does it effect any thing if i start off with 16" pots? i got some pictures here of one of them only this time because i noticed on this plant the stem is a little brownish/reddish type of color, I hope theres nothing wrong with her?


Here Are Da Pics... *i took these pictures from my cell phone camera still for now because i am waiting on the digital camera which i am getting in 2 days. but bare with me for now..also the leafs are very healthy green in person and the spots u see in pic#2 are not yellow spots or anything they are just water drops..sorry low quality camera for now....

You should be fine starting in a larger pot. Just saves you the trouble of transplanting which I had to go through. They look good so far. Keep updating! I'll be following. Get a fan in there if you don't already have one, an oscillating fan. It'll help strengthen those stems and get them nice and green. I can't really see your photos from my phone, so if you have a fan in there already then ignore that.

Everything looks good though man, keep it up

thanks for the reply bro .. how long do u think 16" pots would be good for? or will they be able to grow in there forever? and no i actually don't have a fan in there right now i should be putting up a fan in there asap! do i have to leave the fan on 24/7 or only wen lights are on?

I like to leave my fan on as much as possible because my stems need to get strong quick so I can flower since I don't have too much space to use. Either way should be fine though. A 16" pot is pretty big, depends on how big you want your plantsto grow I guess.

well i really want them to get alot of weight with lots of budd on them. So does that mean i have to put them in a bigger pot then 16" or do u think a good size plant wud b okay for 16" to yield enuff budd? btw.. what size are u planning to transplant them into as final pots?

Hey, growing God's Haze too from the Dukes. They have some asskick genetics. Akso got their G's Hash, and G's SK1 , , , , my grow is outdoors started in late may, my plants are 6 feet tall. I got 30 of each genetic. My males are being used in breeding programs. They are the most impressive males i've ever seen of any strain. The G' Hash is also stupendous in all aspects. One male is 4 foot around, 6 foot tall and i swore it was a she. I'm not disappointed, will use him in the program too. Way to go Dukes! The SK1 is the least impressive, but holds promise.

Wow Nine Coats U seem to know a lot about my seed strain. I DON'T NO JACK SHIT ABOUT IT i was just hoping its sum GOOD ASS seeds if its called god's haze lol but then i started thinking and getting a doubt what if its not sum bomb weed. so have u grew a female one of it? or smoked it ever? im really curious! to see how it turns out. i tried researching for this seed strain on the internet but i still didnt find nothing at all, thats wen i started thinking what if these seeds suck.. but n e ways how are this seeds really? and if you have seen or smoked or even grew this budd PLEASE do fill me in with details

Hey Thanks tvd2 for the advice and liljheazy it sounds like a good strain to me too i just cant wait to see how they turn out. i hope Nine Coats knows maybe sum more about this strain or has had female plants or n e other information on it, i would love to know more... cuz i dun really no nothing at all about this strain!!! so well im going to take a look at my babies tmr and i will be making an update tmr and post some new pictures up. soo i have 2 40 watt florescent lights above them for now i hope that good for vegg. stage .. ne suggestions? i also got 2 hps lights that are 250 watts each for flowering later on i hope thats good enuff also this is my first grow so n e 1 wud like to comment feel free to post thanks

ya... there should be 3000 lumens per plant... look at how many lumens each bulb has.

PS- if you're using CFLs make sure theyre the 6500K (daylight) OR 5000K [only] color spectrum! (it'll say ####K on the bulb or package) good luck and be careful with those HIDs!

Day 12 August 19th, 2009-hey guys sorry about the 2 day hold up on the update, i was trying to get my hand on a digital camera before i update again but that didnt seem to work out very well... BUT! i did seem to find one for sure now so i should have some digital pics up hopefully by tmr!! ! but for now i got cell phone pics again!! sorry guys! but i hope u guys still enjoy them.. the temperatures seem to be just fine! AND my babies are looking BEAUTIFUL!! i can finally see branches splitting off and so many more leafs!!! daamn i was so happy to see that! out of my 5 there is 1 plant that seems to be a bit slow and didnt really have much branches splitting off yet and still at about 4 leafs but i can see mini leafs coming out.. hope it catches it up with the other ones.. if n e one thinks i am doing something wrong or they see something wrong with my babies please do let me no or comment on n e thing... here are the pics...

The first 4 pics are of the youngest baby she hasn't seem to have started branching off yet as much as the others. then the next 6 pics are of the other 4 plants but like theres some more pics takin of the strong one who has more leafs and branches for u guys to enjoy and last but not least the last one is jus a random pic i took with the plant with the most leafs in front and the the plant wit the less leafs at the moment in the back! started thinking i was sum crazee ass photographer after all those camera shots and that nice joint i smoked before i took them loll! well n e ways i hope everything going good i havn't added no nutes to my plants yet not sure about them just yet. My plants are about 1 week and 5 days old... i shall update u guys tmr hopefully if i get time till then let me no what ya'll think please leave n e questions or comments or CRITISISM u would like to..

the 2 hps might be enough for floaweing, buy you have nothing on those seedlings... 4 plants i had 8 100w CFl's, with 2 40watts you dont have enough lumens or watts....
Not trying to be a dick but im saying you might need to get more lights or just make a cfl fixture... i would add some cfls to that setup inless you can add more of those tube florescents
Just get high watt ones but the cfls help electricity and meet the requirement .

P.S Are those bulbs more towards 6500k, i honestly know nothing bout those long florescents
It looks like 6500K or daylight or whatever its called

Looking good so far, If your worried about lumens per square foot, I think I read something about it somewhere in the forum. To figure out your lumens per sq. foot, CFL lighting gives off about 50-60 lumens per watt, and a High Pressure Sodium light will give about 107 lumens per watt, add those up and divide this number by the sq. footage you have in your grow room. Hope this helps, Im still a new grower and will take any advice I can, will also try to give off info Im confident is true.

Hey i jus wanna thank every1 one for their help and suggestions and for subscribing.. The babies are doing just fine. i actually was able to get a hold of a digital camera today so i will have some nice clear pics for you guys by tonight. About the lights hmmm.. well im going to try set up some more florescent lights or maybe even some cfls on the side. At the current moment im working on a exhaust fan for the hot air but i dont really need it rite now since the temperature and the humidity levels are doing real good and every once in a while i leave the door open for some fresh air.. but i will start working on a exhaust fan or something to move the hot air out for the time wen i put up my 2 250 hps lights. I still have not fed no nutes to the babies the soil i am using is Miracle Grow.. if n e one has n e info on how or when is a good idea to nute them please do drop some info on that .. i dont really no much about nutes but i have hurd that miracle grow soil already has enuff in the soil not sure if thats tru or not well time to go cheak on the babies b sure to cheak in with further updates that i will have up by tonight thnx once again guys

so how many plants do u have altogether? and how many lights? Watts? color specs (####K)? im sorry if u already answered this im kinda retarded at the moment
