First grow in a few years

Just started a new grow, been out of it a while so excited to be getting it going again. I have a small collection of seeds so I started some of them while waiting for my new JOTI packs to come. I ordered deep purple, gods grand double purple and blueberry, received a pack of romulan × oz kush cake aswell, all the packs have 13-14 seeds instead of the 12 advertised, a nice touch.

I had already started :
4 × wifi og (bag seed but giving it a go)
1 × og kush fem (can't remember seedbank)
1 × cluster bomb fem (gyo freebie)
1 × Bubba kush fem (canuk seeds freebie)

And now starting 2 × blueberry to add in since I wanted to have some going. I plan to clone most of the joti stuff so I can save a few.

If I happen to get some extremely vigorous males I plan to collect some pollen to spray on the best females I end up with and try some informal breeding projects.

I wish I could pop all the beans now but will have to go through these first, haha.


Saw some sprouts come up yesterday, and a couple more today. I need to get some more pots! Excited to see how the JOTI stuff comes out, I ran his hashberry before and it was phenomenal.

Swapped out og kush for a 3rd blueberry, I could have waited longer but I didn't want to waste time so I dug it out and replaced with a blueberry.

Have 2 blueberry sprouts now, and the cluster bomb is popping through slowly. Just waiting on 1 more blueberry to pop through.

The "bag seed" wifi seedlings seem quite strong so far, impressed for not being from a breeder/seedbank. Time will tell if it applies to the end product. I currently have a blurple led that I was given with the tent, so I need to upgrade that but hopefully it will get me through 3-4 weeks of Veg till I can add on a newer led.

I'm really excited, I've always wanted to grow blueberry and Bubba, this Bubba isn't the same as the classic one unfortunately though I still need some pre 98bubba for the collection

They're basically all poking through, the cluster bomb is taking its sweet time, I'm suspicious that maybe it dried out a bit too much possibly but we shall see.

A couple look a little leggy so I am going to get another light asap. Picture was taken at lights off and right after giving some water so they look wet for sure.

I'm really happy with the growth so far, going to fill the pots with more soil mix later in the week. The roots are looking nice so far for their size, I love pro-mix the mycorroizae are amazing for roots.

Soil mix is pro mix indoor potted mix, with a bunch of perlite and some vermiculite. The roots should love the mix since its very airy with the perlite, I've never had enough to mix this much in before so I'm happy about it.

I'm really hoping to get a aerocloner and 2 mini tents for males and mothers so I can do perpetual harvest but funds are tight currently.

My cluster bomb was stuck partly in the shell under the soil, I delicately removed the shell and replaced it so will see if it powers through. The leaves are green so I think there's a chance it makes it, but I planted a extra blueberry in case.

I decided to add a second blueberry to the larger pot since I need to get more and I want to have at least 6 female plants when it comes time.

I've never put 2 seeds into 1 pot before, I am confident that if I keep the pot size large they shouldn't suffer much.

The cluster bomb is still around but I am not sure how much longer I'll give it before I cull it and replace with another blueberry or a auto flower, I have a Dr krippling jumping black dash auto I want to run. It is very stunted, but still "alive" technically at least.

There appear to be at least 2 distinct phenos of the wifi og, one that is very broad leafed and short, and another that has more slender lead shape and slightly taller stature. The internode spacing is very tight on all of them which is great. I hope the short broad leafed plant is a female.

The blueberry also appears to have 2 distinct phenos, again one with very broad leaf shape, and one with slimmer leaves. The slimmer leaf one has what appear to be thrichomes on the first true leaves which is always a welcome sight.

The Bubba kush has quite slender leaves at this point, it desperately wants a bigger pot, I need to go pick some up tomorrow or on the weekend. Almost all of them are close to ready for their first transplant, so many roots popping out already.

I was planning to bury the stems, so I didn't fill the pots all the way up, however the plants have stayed very short so I will have to wait to add more soil since I want to keep the leaves out.

I am going to have to figure things out for ventilation too as I am still waiting for my fans and it appears they will be delayed a while, so will makeshift a system for airflow. I currently have the ports open to allow airflow and fan the tent manually a 3-5× a day but obviously this isn't ideal. I'll go get a desk fan to put in there as I was hoping they would have arrived already, but what can ya do.

The little ones are doing OK with it, I had 1 plant with some taco leaves from heat one day but opening the vents seems to have alleviated it for now

The plants are doing well! One of the wifi appears to be putting out female pre flowers so that's exciting! I will be doing some transplanting today for most of the plants. I would prefer to not need to waste any soil, but I'm going to try and compost it at harvest time so I can just recycle it and add some good nutrition via composting.

My municipality offers free compost in the spring so I will mix as much as I can get into a bin with the used soil+roots and some food scraps and get it going that way. I would still need a second batch of soil to use but it would work out well I think.

I would love to go fully organic. I have not used any nutrients on this grow yet, and I would like to use minimal amounts so I can attempt to keep the microorganisms and mycorrohizae in the soil alive.

The plants have all responded very well to being transplanted, and to being topped so I am happy they are not being overly stressed out. The larger plants have very strong root systems already, they will fill out the fabric pots very nicely. I was surprised how quickly they filled out their new containers, they went from 6 inch pots (maybe 1 L) to approx 1.2gallon containers, and they had roots coming out the bottom in a couple days, impressive.

The plants have started to smell quite strong, especially considering they are still fairly young (3-5 weeks) and in vegetative growth.

The cluster bomb is still kicking, its stunted from the start it had but it's growing quite well. I had added a blueberry seed to the pot because it looked like it was not going to survive, but I gave the little gal some love and she came back. I am excited to try this strain since I had good experiences with other bomb strains before.

The blueberry plants are so amazing looking, I can't wait to see how the bud comes out from them. They have this hashy aroma that is just great!

Another small update, the plants are doing great. I gave them their first feeding yesterday and potted most of them up to their final pots, 5gal fabric pots. I used promix HP with vermiculite perlite and some promix potting soil to add a bit of nutrition and to get another strain of mycorrizhae in the mix.

Fed the plants with a mixture of 5-2-2 and a tiny splash of some root booster and .9ml of superthrive that was mixed into 6.6L water. They absolutely loved it and they are looking very happy today.

I will pot up the remaining plants soon, just waiting for the roots to get more established so they can fill out their 5gals nicely. 5 gal is probably overkill, but I decided it would be better to have a little extra.

The roots are looking nice on the plants so far, I would like them to use the middle a bit more but I need to pot up once more in between possibly.

The cluster bomb is kicking and doing well considering I was going to chuck it, it's way behind the group but I will just train everything so it can catch up. I might try and take some clones but I still have a space issue. I have a broken top that I'm rooting, it came from my favorite blueberry plant which I'm pretty sure is a female. It's still a bit early to tell for sure, but appears to be forming female preflowers.

I have 2 blueberry that I believe are males, I was hoping to have at least one so I could chuck some pollen and create a load of blueberry seeds and a few crosses. BB×BB, BB×wifi, BB×Bubba kush, and BB×cluster bomb all sound amazing.

One of the suspected males is a amazing looking seedling, it has had a lot of trichomes on the leaves since it was putting out true leaves, and began producing an aroma very young too. The growth pattern is very nice on it too, it has slightly more sativa shaped leaves and is a little taller, so I believe crossing this with the more indica BB should result in a very nice plant with huge yields. This will be a great plant for breeding.

I am hoping to be able to collect a nice amount of pollen to keep in the freezer, and then create blueberry crosses of most of the seeds I have. I have a huge thing for blueberry, and blue crosses are always enjoyable for me so I might as well try and create a massive amount of blue seeds to grow and select over some generations.

I am terrified at the thought of growing the very berry blue goodness and not preserving the genetics via clones, or at the very least keeping seeds from them.
I also recognize that I need to accept things are not eternal, and that's a part of life. Every time I keep a strain around, it is one less opportunity to discover a new favorite. Perhaps I should be more content with the things in front of me, than chasing after the things that have passed me by.

I've been quite impressed by the wifi, for some bag seeds they are quite uniform and growing nicely. There was about 15 fully formed seeds in the half oz, hope the bud is like the stuff I had gotten it was super gassy

Well I have 3 suspected blueberry males, and 2 undetermined blueberry plants currently from preflowers. I'm a little sad about 2 of the bb since they look awesome and have a nice smell already in veg. I was planning to save some pollen and pollinate a few branches of most of the females, so this will make it difficult to decide which to use.

One of them is definitely male, this one I was hoping for to be female since it has had quite a lot of trichomes on the leaves since it's first true leaves, I was expecting it to be super frosty. I guess this would be a good one to use for breeding. Its a little slower than the others, but has nice branching and slightly more sativa leaf shape.

One of the suspect males that I thought was a female, but am now unsure is very vigorous growing very rapidly, awesome structure and shape I have trained to a lovely shape it would be a great plant for growing bud, so it might be worth making a few seeds with this one too. Very indica shape and structure, lots of branching very squat. Awesome looking plant. Very strong smell in veg.

Another suspect male has much less branching and more main cola growth, strong smell in veg, pretty sure it's male, but doesn't seem as special as the others so I will likely not use it for breeding.

The Bubba kush fem appears to have some female preflowers, I did a bunch of training and it looks great, it will yield nicely I think. Has a great smell to it.

The 4 wifi haven't shown their sex yet, 3/4 are quite large now I've done a bunch of training and topping they will be monsters. They smell awesome, these are going to be some loud plants!

The cluster bomb is still quite small and it has a friend sharing space, a small blueberry that looks nice but its so far behind the other plants that it likely won't get to be very large. I shouldn't have started it so soon, and waited a bit longer to see if the cluster bomb made it.

I'm going to have to think about flipping these plants to 12/12 soon so they don't get too big, I have a hps I'm going to add to my blurple led I was given (plants seem to love it in veg) until I am able to get my nicer lights. These are good for now, but I am looking forward to upgrading to some quantum boards or similar.

Loving the grow so far, so happy to be back at it. I may have slightly overfed a few, there was what appeared to be some burning on leaf tips that I had cut while training and topping, so I will have to watch that.

When I transplanted into the promix hp I was afraid of underfeeding them, but I think it will still provide enough of a buffer that I don't need to feed every water. I will try once a week and just give water the next few waterings.

The plants are doing great, I have 3 female blueberry plants it seems, 1 male and 1 TBD. 2/4 wifi appear to be female, and the Bubba kush fem is looking female too aswell as the cluster bomb fem.

I decided to flip to flower since they are getting pretty big and have lots of tops now. I'm planning to use the male blueberry to pollinate a few branches of each female. The male is a very strong looking plant, trichomes all over the leaves and very nice smell, it should make some great seeds.

One plant has some rusty spots on its fan leaves, seems to be extra cal/mag hungry, the new growth has been clear so will bump up feeding and add some espom salts.

Caved and added in a new led, got a great deal on a Mars hydro ts1000, and i have to say I am very happy with it so far! I know there are technically better lights, but this was reasonably priced and I am very happy with it. I might get another to add in, I'm also watching the viparspectra xs2000/xs1000 aswell as the vs1000/2000 as they are also good looking and only a bit more expensive.

I currently have the MH ts1000, and a 150w hps over the plants for 300w total lighting.

Unfortunately one of the blueberry plants I thought I saw pistils on is putting balls out so I will be discarding it, but there is another that is doing really nice and putting out pistils for sure. One of the wifi is throwing out huge calyxes and pistils, so I'll have 1 wifi and 1 blueberry for sure with the Bubba kush and cluster bomb.

I'm hoping to have more than 4 females but if that's what I have then so be it, I am going to pollinate a few buds of each plant with the nicest blueberry male, he is covered in trichomes and has a nice smell coming off him, I hope this will translate to the offspring.

The wifi plant that is showing female is quite large so it should yield decent. The Bubba will have over 30 tops, from lots of training, topping and FIMing.

I have pinched and bended the stems on almost all the tops, and they have formed nice strong branches to support buds


I'll get some more pics up of the plants I'll be keeping, I'm really happy with how the grow is going so far.

There are a couple leaves that got a touch too close to the light earlier but nothing major, and one plant has a little rust on the fan leaves, but the new growth is nice. The tent is smelling quite strong already, glad to have the carbon filter.

Here is some pics of the Bubba kush and one of the wifi that is showing female, they both look great and I'm happy with them. They should each have more than 30 tops so excited to see how they yield.
I've been pinching and bending them and using skewers to keep the canopy level.

There has been some stretching over the first few days of 12/12 which is great, hoping to get these tops all decently sized. I grow for personal so it's not a huge deal but of course a big yield is always welcome.

I'm going to add a hlg 200 diablo soon during flowering, the plants aren't light hungry, but I want better penetration to the lower growth

Things are coming along, when I open the tent I'm greeted with a very nice aroma, with all the different strains it's not that specific at this point.

Excites to watch things continue to progress and see how it goes. Lots of females here and maybe only 1 possibly 2 males, there is one plant I'm still not totally sure about.

I decided to do a light defoliation, to help light get down into the plants a bit better and improve airflow.

The bubba kush especially branched out like crazy and got super thick with me topping every branch multiple times.

This grow has been great for me so far to help me remember a lot of things. I made a small mistake and very lightly burned some of the plants with over feeding coupled with led being so strong it contributed to the burning.

I'm excited that the plants are looking good still and I'm hoping for a decent harvest.

2 weeks of 12/12 down so the plants should be full on flowering very soon. Most of them have begun to show lots of pistils and are beginning to form some bracts.

My male blueberry is doing nice too, I'm going to pollinate a couple branches from each female plant, and then continue to try and isolate strong blueberry flavor and smell a little more each generation.


Few more weeks and then the really pretty pictures come!!

Things are coming along, the wifi, cluster bomb and Bubba kush are flowering the fastest, I love this part of the grow. The plants are so beautiful when they are flowering.

I attempted to harvest some pollen and pollinate some branches, so hopefully it "takes". I wish I would have saved a cutting off him, had some desirable traits. Unfortunately there was a misunderstanding and the dude had to go.

I'm starting to think about what I'm going to run next, I think I will throw a couple autos in with the next batch of seeds. Considering a Dr krippling jumping black dash auto, and a couple mephisto sour stompers to go with some joti deep purple.

I want to get some seeds from next generation seeds again, his dynamite was amazing before and he said it's more worked now, so possibly even better (or way worse haha)
Also considering lucky13 seeds as a maybe, I want to get some more classic west coast Canadian genetics since they are the ones I grew up with.

I'm gonna pick up some STS or cs and try to make some fem beans in the future, maybe in the fall after I have a nice stock built up of flowers and the like.

These wifi og bag seeds have been super impressive, I think they may have been the result of a intentional self pollination, as 4/4 female and they are highly uniform, aswell as the bud was quite heavily seeded with large fully formed seeds. The bud was heavily fuel scented, incredibly frosty and was overall amazing, so I hope it is like that!

Im really happy with this grow, I've definitely made a few mistakes, between burning the plants when I got my new LED lights, and not individually feeding the plants leading to a couple being slightly over fed and a couple being a little hungry. My blueberry plants are very P-K hungry right now.

They all smell amazing with stem rubs and when I open the tent it's starting to hit with a beautiful fruity hashy aroma. I can't wait to see how the profiles develop.
The "Bubba kush" is really a bubblegum×og kush cross and I wasn't very excited for it originally but figured it would be a good one to add to help me get back into growing again, and it's becoming one I am excited for! I don't buy canuk seeds, but got some as a freebie in the past and they aren't horrible but they charge too much for basically just ripping off other people's genetics.
Anyway it smells really sweet, so I am looking forward to watching how it progresses.

Well here we are at 4 weeks of 12/12. The 3 largest wifi plants have all developed a few mutant bract/pollen sack hybrid bud sites but they seem to be in particular spots that are fairly easy to remove so I'm deciding to keep them going for now.

They are probably the frostiest plants I have going so I'd like to keep them unless it gets out of control. They are bagseed so I had anticipated they may do this.

The blueberry are beautiful I am very excited to try them when they're ready.
The Bubba kush has done nice, it makes me want to get the real Bubba, katsu said he'll have some ready in the fall of the pre '98 Bubba, so I'll get those when ready.


I hit on a mephisto drop so those beans should be in hand this week, I'm excited to try them out. When I'm vegging some cuttings I have in the fridge I'll run a few autos to get another harvest in quick after this. I should have put one in with these photos since I'm getting down to the end of my stash.

The cluster bomb is beautiful too, I'm glad I got a cutting in the fridge, will root it soon under 12/12 so she can grow into a monster. I have a few cuttings in the fridge as a experiment, 1 rooted and a few in a cup of water. I'm curious to see if they will root after weeks in the fridge, and if they don't it's it's good I have too many beans haha.

The smells coming off these girls are intense, powerful skunk aroma that is lovely. One of the blueberry has a astringent berry cleaner smell it's amazing, almost like berry scented Comet cleaner.

6 weeks in, I'm hoping to take some down within the next 2-3 weeks and I'm hoping the whole tent within 4-5 weeks.

This has been a very fun grow for me, I've made a few mistakes and have a couple plants that have too much N and low K but I've been adjusting the feed. I was busy with other things and hurriedly misdiagnosed the yellowing as n deficiency and by the time I realized the damage was done.

The plants don't seem to mind that much, but I will definitely watch closer for the next cycle.

I added another fan because I dont want to deal with pm and bud rot, and the tent was getting jungle-ey. I am hesitant to remove any more leaves at this point. I did defoliate these plants more than I've ever done it before, but I'm not sold that the plants wouldn't have grown even more if I only took leaves with air movement in mind.

Seriously looking forward to harvest. Big ups to the 6" carbon filter!
I'm not sure how I'll dry this stuff, I will likely need to keep it in the tent with the carbon filter running, and a humidifier and hope for the best. Gonna get a controller for my fan before I chop to help.

The smell when I open the tent is insanely delicious, it makes it hard to have patience and wait to try some, especially since I am running low and I'm basically out of good bud.
I have some stuff that I was given by a friend, it gets me sorta buzzed but doesn't do much for pain relief and it tastes like hay which is super disappointing because it smells like it's sorta decent/fruity until you try a puff.
Almost tastes like old dirty tea when I vape it initially.

Needless to say I am looking forward to getting some decent stuff in the stash again. I might succumb to buying a bit from the store but it's usually super disappointing and expensive. The black market stuff is way better, but it's expensive too.
I have a hard time spending money on something like weed when I have a tent almost ready with some bomb smelling shit just swelling up.
