first grow -- light cycles

This is my first grow and i am using the single plant water farm hydroponic system. It is almost 2 weeks old and i have been keeping my light on 24 hours a day. When should i change my light cycle to 18/6?
any help is appreciated, thanks

18/6 is what i have done with excellent results. And i have also heard that a 16/8 cycle will make the plant have a higher % female ratio, but it makes the plant "stretcher", in height. Hope this helps

You don't need to switch to 18/6 you can leave it 24/0 until you want to switch them to flowering. If you wanna save a bit on electric costs then switch to 18/6 and then eventually 12/12.

Okay thanks, im not worried about electric costs. I have heard from some people that leaving thelight on 24/0 stresses the plant out. i just wanted to see if that was true or not
