First Grow, Lots of Questions LOL

Hey everyone,

Real excited to join the Rollitup family! I’m about to start my first grow in a 3x3x6 tent, gonna be running 3-4 autos in Biobizz light and perlite mix (90/10) in 5 gal fabric pots. I just bought a cheap “1200w” Amazon LED to start because I don’t really have the means for a fancy lighting system yet, but I also purchased a 600W Roleadro Reflector Series LED as well, thinking the 1200w might not be enough. Would running them at the same time be overkill? And what height do you suggest I keep them at for optimal performance? Any and all suggestions welcome, thanks again guys!

Both would not be overkill. I just ran a 2000w LED in a 4x4x7 and wish i had more. As for height it is best to check the manufacturer's specs because all LED is definitely NOT created equal. Id i were to estimate though I would say 20-36 inches above the canopy. I kept mine 30-36.

Welcome and happy growing!

no problem running both. I ran three of them is hopes of reaching 800 watts. Grow went very good for first time. I kept mine about 18-24" above the canopy

then it's probably not overkill to run two lights. I plan on running a 600watt hps in a 2x4 area. Nerver enough wattage as long as there is enough CO2 and no heat stress

LED lights for the most part misinform the actual wattage. Always rate the light whatever it draws from the wall. For example, my "1800 watt" COB LED X6 is actually 300 watts, kick ass little light for 160 bucks. I run it beside my hps 600 to get 900 in the flower 5x5

I had a crazy idea to use my space heater on the “fan” setting as opposed to a standing fan, then adding a 6 inch clip on fan above the plants to increase air circulation. Does that sound insane?
