First grow need some pointers.

Hey whats up fellow smokers I recently started my small grow operation 10/9/2012 to be exact
about a week prior to the start of my grow One of my neighbors needed some cash to pay a bill and
he sold me a HYDRO FARM 1000 watt HPS light with air cooled refletor + XTRA SUN convertible ballast for $60
so I said why not. I went out and purchased some Fox Farm Ocean Forest Potting Soil a couple of pots and some clones ( Fire OG X3 & SFV OGx8 ) from a local dispensary.
I proceded to set up the light in my closet, hooked it up to the ballast lined the walls of the closet with some foil ( temporary until i can get better reflective material ).
I also hooked up a fan in the closet. So now its been about a month and plants are showing growth but need some pointers on Nutrients, Temperatures in grow room, light cycle, watering, etc...

First, since you got such a bargain with your light (good job!) you can afford some decent pots for those babies.
Damp soil; not wet. Don't water until surface soil is dry.
18 hours of light.
Haven't answered all your questions as I've yet to have my 2nd coffee

agree use a few $ on some decent 3-5 gallon pots/grow bags .. and skip the foil, only give you hot spots, flat/plain white is better but with a 1K light it dont matter much, they will get enough light, might want to look in to some training/LST to get the most out of your space/light

when should i start feeding the ladies nutes?

Not for some time...Over feeding and over watering; classic first timer mistakes (me included! )

yea but made me under feed on my fist run, so its all a balance and even different with different strains, need to do it a few times to find your own way, but yea in general, less is more, and a common mistake is that Ppl. think its "magic" and just want to add a lot of stuff to get most bud, its nature, indoors, need to copy it, also make me think about your ventilation and odour controle ? do you have any ?

if it was me I would get some nice 3 gallon pots and some more soil and do a repot, in a weeks time or so after a few waterings you should notice some new grow, once the plants have set its roots in its new pots, at that time I would begin to introduce some nuts (the new soil should also contain enough for the fist time) start on 1/4 strenges and move your way up, the time it will need the most is the fist two weeks of 12/12 after that you should switch from Veg to bloom nuts (from high N to high P/K)

Slipon sounds good I just came back from the nursery got me some nice 3gallon pots and i got some more Fox Farm Ocean Forest potting soil
I thought I should use the same soil I originally used. I also purchase some Grow Big nutes from Fox Farm Im thinking of doing the repot tonight
and Ill put the nutes on hold for now.

Now about ventilation that is one of my concerns I currently have a window fan inside the closet the fan has a total of 4 fans 2 that blow air in and 2 that blow air out.
at this moment I just have the fan in the closet but its not set up in any special way. About the odor control I have nothing to fix that yet i was looking into filters but
they can get a bit pricy!
