First Grow NL's one plant.

Hi everybody, this is my first grow. I decided to go with two 30 Gallon rubbermaid buckets didn't have much space to work with. but it feets nice and stealthy behind my futon =)

I just about got everything at walmart and home depot family dollor for some nice hooks that im going to use to tie my string to when i start to LST.

two rubbermaid containers 30 gallons

two 4inch heavy duty fans

pH drop, and nuts. Perlite and volcano rocks.

one light clip with silver lid.

temperature meter, mylar

5 Nl feminine seeds I got from friend that also grows


After this grow im going to get two heavy duty containers their about 40 gallons deep im going to get two more which are going to be about 20 25 gallons im going to use for aeroponics which is going to seat 8 plants fo the two 20-25 gallon containers i decide to use im going to use all clones as well from the first grow.

tell me what you think about my fist grow and second grow idea here are some pics to start off with i will be adding more evey now and then its about a 2 weeks but these pictures are about 5-6 days old maybe

no pictures of the outside because i forgot to upload them i will take more in 2 days the plants looking good except some minor burns on the very tips of couple leaves

Hi again, this is the 13th day from pictures above plants growing well with the LST still growing in the two peice rubbermaid. with 100wat cfl. ill be adding another rubbermaid and a 250watt hps for flowering tell me what you think sorry about picture quailty im only using a 2.0pixel camera phone

Alittle changes im making from the first post above i said i was going with areoponics for my next grow scratch that.

Ill be moving out of here once this grow is finished we have a hydroponic store in my area which sales nice grow tents i figured i would go with one of them babies haha.


but back to the original grow its still growing in the Two set rubber maid. I'm giving it about 2-3 more weeks to veg. i added another 100watt CFL so im using 2 now. when i start flowering i heared about the molasses method which is a proven fact that it works i read about it in high times. along with that i was thinking about making a DIY co2 generator but i dont know yet.


i am how ever going to add another rubbermaid box which will make this thing about 6 foot tall or so maybe 7. I im trying to decide if i wanna get the 150 watt hps or the 250watt hps I need some kinda help here i dont wanna over kill the plant with the 250wat but i wanna have it so its just about perfect

Wassup so i just smoked 5 blunts with my friends house where i moved my baby because my girlfriends mom found it haha. Surprisingly she wasn't mad she just wanted me to move it so i did probably put alittle stress on it but its at a safe buddys house that i can trust. anyways this is wassup

I added that third rubbermaid which is pretty solid i put a lid over one cut out the list just enough so that i could stack one on the top then i cover that i bought another fan which is blowing right on the plant now and two 23 watt cfls with cone from the sides

my girlfriends house was so hott my plant started looking burnt and i was scared so im glad i got it here its staying 75 with one 100watt cfl and two 23watt cfls.

but at the time i had two 100watt cfls and 2 23 watt cfls in it at my girlfriends house her room was so hott my temp always stayed around 80 85 just with the 200watt cfls i dont know what i was thinking but anyways

its safe and cool here and looking good heres some pics from the day i had to move it from her house

tell me what you think i wanna veg for couple more weeks me and my friend decided we wanna get a couple of clones off and some nice nodes we wanna get it wrapped around the bucket haha tell me if you think its a good idea to do that and add couple more cfls in thier heres the pics enjoy respond back please

Well that was at my girlfriends house it was getting to 100degrees in their with the three 23watt cfls and the two 100wat cfls i took them out and i changed the location so now im thinking about putting more cfls in their for veg till i start using my 150watt hps for flowering

Ohh ok. Ya i have a short attention span so i tend to skim read. But HEY, you need to upgrade your ventilation in this case. I think 250w would be a bit much, your getting a little to high on that high horse. Theres some computer fans for supppper cheap on EBAY, they have muffin fans to which pump alot more air than comp fans. If you have money you could buy a blower which would be ideal.

ID recomomend 6 comp fans ( 3 for intake 3 for exaust) for the 150w or 2 muffin fans. Go with the comp fans if you want the quieter deal.

hell yeah thanks for the reply. i thought thoes fan would work perfect but ill def invest into the computer fans they have some pretty good ones down at the hydroponic store but do you really suggest 6 fans? i mean im not really on any budget but would be a pain re cutting holes but if its necessary ill be willing to do it im going to veg for alittle longer because i wasn't getting enough light at my girls house but now i got plenty of cfls with a solid 75/80


but let me know about the fan thing if its really necessary

Yeah it is if you want the 150w, wich compared to cfls is neccessary! Well 4 MIGHT work so id start with 4, and if temps arent good you can always go pack and get more. Are they comp fans or Muffin fans? Because Muffin fans are much more powerfull. Or you could just by one of those duct fanss that are made inside a peice of ducting, that should work too. Whatever is cheaper.

Look what 150w can do for ya.

Thats crazy the 150watt hps is so close but shes looking good. I cant wait to start running my 150HPS i just tied down some more fan leaves last night and some node/cola looking things to the side so now my main stem thats in a circle is getting great light my friend said the temp only dropped to 68 at night and thats with four 23 watt cfls and one 100watt cfl



but the fans im using now came from walmart their

Alright so i wanna try the topping or super cropping, my friend said its where you cut the main cola and the hormones splits it into two colas is this right?

and could you do it to an LSTed plant where the cola looking nodes are forming could you cut those off also and will they split like the main cola

Ya those fans or ok for a couple Cfls, but not much more.

Colas? Are you budding? because a cola is a bud set....

You dont top the plant when its in flower because it will stunt it and it will grow slow.

Super cropping is done in VEG and involves pinching stems just enough to feel it mush in wich creates a fat stock. Aso bending branges near breaking point. Its ok if you break a it abit, just make a ductabe cast for it and it will mend back.

I prefer LST, (low stress training) where you put skrews around the edge of the pot and tie down the pranches. LST you gan do throught flowering too i think, though i am trying it with one plant and it seems to be slackin.

Sounds like you need to get your self a horticulture book or read up on the Web.

But yeah man a 150w would be pretty mean in there, cant wait to see it set up

its still in 24/24 i haven't started flowering yet. i decided to let my nodes that form from the LST method then im going to top them after that im going regrowth after that i wanna pintch what ever i got from topping which i was told that will produce more yeild and bigger


when you top and do you let regrowth then start vegging or let regrowth then pintch then regrowth then flower? haha im high

From what i know topping doesnt produce more bud, only two tops with about the same amount of bud as if you left it grow a single top. Its USed for height issues mainly and light distribution. I personally think topping is not worth it, You can tie a plant down at 45 degrees and all the side shoots will grow equally, same result as topping only way more effecient.

thats weird somone said topping was when you cut the coal area you could have to look for your self to understand.

he told me it creates hormones in which it makes the plant split into 2-4 more colas it grows into a v shape i know it dont give bigger bud but it will increase my yeild and by super croppping you bend the coals where it snaps to much pressure and your screwed just alittle snap that gives times for the rest of the plant to catch up and also grows longer and bigger bud sites.

this is just what ive read in a couple of post but seeing as how your the only one actually posting in my journal i cant be 100% sure but i think i posted a topping/super scropping tread where i got some feed back on it then did the extra research

i think my plant is getting nute burn so im going to water with just water for couple days to see inprovement i dont know how i got nute burn my pH is fine my friend said (fellow grower) by the way maybe i should take my water and mix straight to the hydro store and have them do it haha it has basic measuring table on the back but i cant understand that shit im more street smart then anything. dont get me wrong i graduated but still.

the two leave are dead i guess and going to snip them off couple of my other fan leaves has just babie holes in them and couple burn spots but ill know for sure if its from where i had it at my girlfriends or if it was nute burn in cuple of days and ill let you know other then that the plants looking good and i might post some pics today

Alright so heres what its looking like couple of the fan leaves are missing and th plant looks small =( but its still under CFL's i added couple more as you can tell got the 3 tier set up running so heres some pics of the plant i cut 3 clones off yesterday which are in another 2 tier cloning box with dome

i hope some of you people actually look at at and take the time to point out my ups and downs ive done so far

i think the droopy ness just comes from the lights being under then plant plus i had the lid off for awhile udated pics tommorow im seeing where the topped action comes into play gots two colas growing where i cut the one just hooked up the hps 150watts and two daylight cfls 27watts
