First grow set up, I know next to nothing

I have a ten gallon mylar encased fish tank with an 8000K fluorescent tube light and a small fan. Starting with 3 small clones. Feeding with a 15-10-10 solution. The light is about 4 inches from the top of the tallest plant, is that too close? I know this is super basic to start. Any tips on how to move forward?

Light is fine just watch how much water you give em as they can't take much and you doing soil or rockwool? What are your plans?

You different light in the future

Redeyedfrog they are in soil. I've been watering when the soil is mostly dry. I will be moving them into a larger enclosure with LEDs once it's set up. As for plans, mostly for personal edibles and curiosity. I may try crosses once I get a good system set up. Thank you!
