Living in the great state of Hawaii I decided to take advantage of the opportunites we have here being a medical mj state as well as damn near perfect weather I think.
I took a plant propagation class last semester and learned a ton of info and wanted to put it to use. This will be my first grow ever, got my blue card a couple weeks ago and didnt waste anytime getting started. Placed an order with attitude seed bank and received the seeds a mere 7 days later. I ordered a 5 pack of some fem super lemon haze, 10 pack of kc brains crystal paradise (will probaly be the last I get of the kc brains stuff), a couple random seeds and some freebies.
Threw seeds into some rockwool on the night of the 21st, they had all popped within 24hrs and left them in my grow dome for 2 days at which point I placed the rockwool cubes into some 6in pots and put them under some cfl's. Each pot has an 18w 6500k cfl hovering about an inch above the seedling. I have them on a 18/6 sched. I would leave them on a 24/0 except im having some issues with heat. Ambient temps are easily 85 deg+ so I have the lights on till about 4pm then back on at 10pm.
Some random info:
Im using tap water atm with no nutes or anything. Tap water is at ~7ph (im using litmus paper so im not bothering with adjusting it)
Temps in the cabinet usually go from around 80-85 with the temp climbing to about 88-90 in the last couple of hours the lights are on. I think i may try to mess with the light schedule and turn them off a few hours earlier and back on earlier in the evening to avoid having them on during the hottest time of the day.
Observations:
Both the super lemon haze and the freebie cole train all have very similar growth rates seedlings are all very close in size with the cole train stretching out a little more than the slh. These 4 seedlings dont seem to mind the higher temps one bit, at least that I can tell, although I have no previous grow experience so I dont know where they should be growth wise atm.
The KC Brains Crystal paradise on the other hand is not doing nearly as well as the others. Growth rates for all 6 seedlings are different. One seed popped and the radical had emerged but it has since seemed to have gone to sleep. Two others are lagging behind by a few days of growth and the best three are at least half the height of the SLH and Cole Train but the first set of true leaves seem to be growing in nicely. Im not sure if this particular strain doesnt handle the heat as well but from what they advertised this particular strain is supposed to adapt well to its conditions provided its not COLD.

now for some pictures, who doesnt like pictures! These things are damn near worthless without pics =)
These first few are of my Green House seeds Super Lemon Haze

Cole Train and SLH
Crystal Paradise
Best 3 CP
the gimp cp's
the last cp isnt worth taking a pic of, the seed is still just below the surface.
Please feel free to comment and let me know what you think. This is my first grow so I have no experience to fall back on and am counting on the seasoned growers out there to help me through my first grow. Much appreciated and much Mahalo's to everybody.
