First Grow T5 Cfl DIY Low Budget

SO, this is my first grow i am a california 215 patient tired of paying so much for trees. What i got so far is 2 sylania t5 40watt cool white one t5 50wattfull spectrum and 2 40watt cfl bulbs that I added, i also added more foil and made it sealed better and a small fan, in ocean grow soil and i use basic nutes 3-3-3 once every 3 days. I just tried to make a bunch of clones also from my brother but he did it wrong we didn't use sterile razors so we will see how those go, planning on updating every week until harvest with pictures. Building a veg room right now in small closet going to get hps and scrog so this will just be the veg bin/ cloner bin that I'm growing in now. I've never grown before so input would help i scour the web for advice ha,
so i have no clue how much i yield or anything.... I set this up 3 days ago because my outdoor plants aren't receiving enough sunlight were i live and they are flowering early decided to move the 2 week clone and one plant inside. Hopefully can get the hang of this indoor thing heres pictures of the clone and the plant was grown from seed about 2 months ago, so any info on yields of similar stuff if this brings back memories, I'm new to this so don't be too harsh

oh and I've been on 24/0 light schedule i don't see much difference in the stuff I've read and don't care bout electricity cause gf pays that bill haha, any info with actual facts on 24/0 opposed to 24/4 or or 18/6 would be cool

so basically the plants seemed to be either too dry or too wet all week and they have so many spider mites its fuckin ridiculous haha, ordered some stuff online been rubbing the leaves and took them outside today sprayed them with peppermint canille soap, that organic shit pretty butthurt about how my first grow is going!!! BUT! I did get some more of those mo fuckin cfls and made a lil bubbleponic setup so thattttts what sup ill be making a full grow room with 600w highps in the next few weeks hopefully.

was super easy to make bubbleponics just got :
10 gal tote; 2 5" net pots,air pump with 2 nozzles;1/4"tubing n 2 airstones
5 gallon tote; net pot fits on perfect; strap airstone to bottom drill your hole turn that bitch on wittta lil hydroton boom turnup

Also not one clone has rooted in a week but me n my brother were hammered n didn't cut the stems right n used a shitty pair of scissors so i just re cut them 2 days ago and dipped them in dip n grow n put them back in... i really need them to clone cause seeds r expensive n online seems so goddamn sketchy. i only have these two indoor and my 2 outdoor aren't doing so hot either spider mites must be gnarly in nor cal cause there on everything here now i believe i got them in the prior clone attempt from my brother so luck has it there probably the gnarkillspiderfuckingruesome violentass ones,,, also my plants outdoors are already budding but i don't have very good sunlight here and i transplanted them about 3 weeks ago from my bros house...

so all in all cloning/ spider mite advice would be sweet its shameful how much these have grown i had to snip off a lot of leaves today.
but the updates shall continue

The First Pic New Bubbleponics: threw some not yet rooted clones in rock wool said fuckit might as well use it as a experiment they were in a humidity dome for 2 1/2 days rock wool weighed 42grams when i took them out, too wet i believe idk though

Second The plant since last time: honestly think it looks worse, i also snapped the main stem today on accident n trimmed it in attempt to get rid of some mites i only give it 2 tea spoon per gallon nuts of 3-3-3 like every 3 or 5 days


Third Clones from over a week ago now, still green no visible roots tho...

Fourth Clones I cut 2 1/2 days ago, still no sign of roots my rock wool was overwatered so i guess id say that I'm just gonna let them dry out hellllla gnar for like 5days to a week.

One Clone Made it! haha its in my 5gal dwc now I've been changing stuff up a lot,
i have 3 x 4ft tubes two 35w and one 55w
n 4 bulbs 2 x32w 2 x16w

is that good enough to keep vegging in this little box? I like cfls, i want to keep vegging eventually in a separate grow tent how many cfls would you need to start getting a scrog routine or SoG routine with 20 small plants?



I'm gonna get hps soon and convert whole room.
built DIY Bubble Cloner keep trying to save same ones I've cut some of them 3 times now haha

Still going though i bought thermometer/hygrometer it was 95 to 99 in there all day it gets to about 72-76 during night i keep taking clones and snapping the plant that was flowering its been making retard 3 leaves all week still has hairs, the clone is doing good i super cropped a little did some LST n Fimed a little its starting to bush out

checkin in, Going to START FLOWERING NYAGAHHH, got a 1000w hps/mh setup and running a hortilux 1000hps right now
ALL those clones died, FUCK EM. actually one made it i forgot, BUT OUTTA LIKE 30? duh fuck. i cut some more and tossed em in the bubbler. was out drink in all weekend and burnt one of my plants cause gf didn't check em, why would she? haha, my plants outdoors r starting to bud there just lil 3 fters though a lotta trees in these foothills too much shade heres an update on all the pics

from what i have read it dosent make any difference. some plants use the night time to do important stugg but marijuanna isnt one of them, marijuanna i guess does not benifit from a night time....from what i have read.

looks like your right on track!!. i had luck with neem oil and my spider mites.

also i found dipping the clones in a rooting powder/gel then putting in a aero cloner is not the way to go. the gel/powder actually seems to make them rot faster.

i made a cloner and use a little clonex in the water and it works awesome.

its a 5 gal bucket with a small water pump in it, a piece of PVC pipe coming off the pump with a end cap on it, a hole drilled in end cap and a small sprayer in the end, it runs 24/7 and has 8 small net pots with neophrene pucks to hold the clones. i just cut the clones, a little scrape on the sides and keep the water at about 75 and i have roots within a week on most of them. this is the 3rd cloner i have built, i have tried rockwool, peat pucks, straight soil, compost plugs and everthing in between and this cloner rocks it.
sorry for the crappy drawing in paint im not much of an artist, i would take a pic but my brother in law is using it right now trying to clone his outdoor plants and get his indoor system going.

also i dont use a humidity dome for clones. i found it contributes to rot. I dont even mist them

i just bought a 8 plant cloner off amazon for 49$ haha from hydro west or cloner bucket.com, i figure i can't grow clones any other way i don't neglect them enough haha. i tried to make a dwc cloner out of a small plastic box but its not showing the best results, planning on updating pictures tomorrow

i also bought some clonex solution and big bud for the ladies so ill be adding those and turning the closet into an actual panda film grow tent with tarp zipper. also got a 4" fan and duct for the hps by the end of my first grow ill hopefully have all that good for the next ha

Heya dude, just wanna say best of luck with the grow! My only 1 tip of advice from reading ur posts was if u want quick sterilization just boil a kettle/pan of water and pour it over the blades/soak them in the pan- as long as you've washed ur hands before u pick them back up after boiling then they'll be sterile enough for an hours work.

But the main thing I wanted to say/ask was it seems ur pretty damn good at making stuff and I was well intrigued by u saying ur gonna make a dwc cloner station - I just so hope it ends up looking like a tiny, coke can sized dwc bucket just specially for little new clones!! Would look so cute a baby bucket! Lol!

Checking in. Vegging clones and vegging plant soon to be mother donor. Flowering stuff is really exploding for a week. Im gonna redo both grow areas over this week will have before and after DIY pictures.

you can reduce the light on them clones. actually from everything I have read lower light helps promote root growth.

also have you looked into dutch master zone? i paid 20 bucks for a small bottle but will last a long time and its a root conditioner plus kills off any thing living in your rez, if your not growing with benificial bacteria (you would know if your are) then its worth a look into, prevents stuff like root rot and root disease.

i was planning on getting some high % H202 but thats what sup i was looking for something to take care of the root rot ill order some dutch master zone right up

im experimenting with it myself for the first time so i encourage you to do your research on it yourself. but i have heard all good shit about it. basically a replacement for the H2O2

I just ordered a plethora of stuff but ill for sure get that in 2 weeks root supplements is really all i need left gonna get some pics of updated rooms i redid them today

My Upgraded flower Closet,
First Sign of Roots DIY bubble cloner works at least but said fuckit ordered a cloner bucket and clones solution
Added 2 105w photography cfls haha 6500k and a 50 w warmer cfl vegging the soon to be mother. All in all Things are lookin up couldn't be happier now all i need is a lil dutch zone to slap in those roots
