First Grow! what else do I need to know or do? Mid's BagSeed

Looking for any suggestions anyone can give me on growing a healthy plant.

GrowBox is a homemade 3ft Bookshelf with adjustable shelf i got from Walmart, its was only $15

18/6 Light Cycle
2x20watt 6500k CFL
2x26watt 6500k CFL

OrganicMircleGrowSoil with 2 months of nute(10-5-5)
I water once a week.


These picture were taken when I was using an 25watt 2700K CFL
(not knowing anyting about growing) I thought they were doing good til I was reading more about Lighting.

these next picture are under current light system I posted up at top.
this last picture is the same plamt that was in the red cup above i just repotted it.

Please feel free to post comments and any questions, Most of all i would love any feedback.

off to a good start there

looks good to me man just keep ur lights close, dont over/underwater, and dont add any nutes without testing the PH of ur soil,since the soil has nute in it

thanks I am trying too, Do i need a soil tester or water tester?

Bump Can some let me know if i can keep these plants in the same pot or do i need to transplant them!

yep titty is right ....... also , ur gonna need to add a few more lights as "she" gets older

Yeah they started out a little stretched but they filled out a bit. I notices the foam piece you were using to hold up the sprout. I wouldn't advise to use that type of material as algae and mold could grow on it from prolonged moisture exposure. An for lighting 100 watts for your first plant and 50 watts more for each one after that. Also 6500k lighting is good for vegetative growth but you can mix the light spectrums to better emulate the sun and have more wattage.

also, the bigger the pot, the more room for roots, the bigger your plant will be.

So i can use the same pots to grow with. i know they are small pots, but i dont want a big potted plant, i am looking for a med grow for my first time.
