First grow, would love some feedback.

Hello this is my first grow and boy howdy am I excited. I started about a month ago with two clones, the one on the left is Chocolope, the one on the right is OG Kush. They are living in four gallon pots, filled with fox farm ocean forest. They were under a 240W Blackstar LED, but I soon noticed that only half the LED's lit up so I had to ship it back to New York for replacement. In the mean time they are sitting under three 20W flourescent fixtures I purchased from walmart for $10 a piece. About two weeks ago I began LST on both the plants, I also topped the chocolope. They have been getting around a half gallon of water a piece about every three days, they have not yet recieved any nutrients. I have some fox farm grow big, when should I start using? Do you reccomend pruning of any of the lower leaves or branches? Any feedback, positive or negative, would be appreciated.Picture car 010.jpgPicture car 009.jpgPicture car 011.jpg

For height control purposes, I would wait to prune lower branches until you are in flower.

As soon as you prune lower branches your growth up top will blow up. Since you will be flowering with LEDs, you might want to keep short and bushy.

Many people say to not prune while in flower, but i find it works great. For 8-9 wk floweing plants, I stop pruning at the end of wk 3.

Looks good man. Plants are very healthy and green looking. Lst looks good too so far. Now start training the branches to keep the plant open and allow light to penetrate to all the future bud sites. You should also try to keep all the branches at about the same height, because this also helps with getting the strongest light to more of your plant. Good luck with your grow, I'd like to follow it if you do a journal.

They appear to be responding well to the LST and trim jobs. Note; by cutting and trimming so early, and the big pots,
your girls are going to be huge and wide. I would put each in a tomato cage as soon as possible or you are going to
have problems with branches breaking. You will want the branches to grow more toward the light and less sideways
action like you got going now. Their color is great and I wouldn't mess with your current water and nute schedule.

Why would you tomato cage a plant and grow upwards on an indoor grow, especially under leds? You want to keep your plants even and low. I grew mine in a circle and the plant is fine. The stems will beef up, and if they don't you can stake them.
