hey guys and gals this is my first try and growing. Seeds came today and I thought I had everything ready to go. Soon realized the lights I was going to use were not going to work. Tried to be cheap about it. So finally sprung today now that everything is finally here for the bad ass ones. Now a two week wait for the lights to come in. Finished off the rest of the room today draped it all down in white, and got the hydroponic system set up. Will post pics once the darn lights get here and the room is complete. Going to be my first try and thing but have an 8 pot hydroponic system and couple of different kinds of nice seeds so it should be fun.
As Outdoor Farmer wrote, good luck and there's lots of info here. Good on you that you figured out, early on, not to "go cheap" with lights. No matter the grow medium/method, ventilation, nutrients and/or genetics used. It still mostly comes down to amount and quality of light. Have the best of everything and a 60 watt bulb for lighting and you won't be happy with the results. On the other hand, use bag seed, little or no nutes, in 100% perlite under a 600w or 1000w HID, and you better have a good size grow area
