hey im new the forums as well as growing! right now my set up is in a wallspace i discovered that was completely closed off. i cut a hole in the drywall and i have a triangular space about 2 1/2 ft all around with an overhead space of about 10ft. right now i have one 3 day old plant set up in a 6" diameter pot by about 7" deep with scots potting soil with a proportional dolomite dose to nuetralize the ph. i utilized most of the space for my soil and planted one blueberry seed about 1 1/2-2 inches down. for lighting i have 2 500w flood lamps about 3-3 1/2 feet above the pot. i have a humidifier underneath the table. i have a 400w hps with a reflector and ballast but i hear waiting till it vegs.
i was wondering if it is wise to have the two 500w floods keeping the temperature as well as the light at an optimum level. when should i switch over to the HPS? how close should it be? i don't have ph testers yet, is it vital that i get them ASAP to keep the ph at a good level? thanks!
