First Official Grow... Multiple Strains

Wassup Fellas...

This my second time around trying to grow. First time was a small closet set up with the small CFL grow light. Was doing well did a lot of stretching but personally unknowledgable about everything that goes into it. Ended up trying add some nutes and fried my lil ole Reggie plant lol. Here it is now 2016 in Michigan and I'm once again a licensed patient.

This time around I put in a lot of research in different areas to come up with some small that I am able to work with as a newb. I'm currently using the T5 4x8 tube fluorescents. I haven't gone deep into nutes. Currently using NOTG Madusas Magic for veg. When my ladies are ready for flower I plan on grabbing a HPS hooded system. I eventually plan on upgrading to the MH lights but for my current grow space it will be too much to control. My lease is up in september so I'm hoping to get atleast one nice harvest. Before I get into my crib.

My current closet depth is about 24 IN in deep 65 IN in height and about 52 IN in width. I Started May 13, 2016 by grabbing clones. 2 Blue Dream 2 Goat 2 White Widow x Big Bud and 1 Purple Kush. First week was rough. Plants started lookin sad(first pic) I didn't grabbing nutes until 2nd week because I worried lol but they seem to have the Medusa Magic well atleast I think. I planned on topping to get my colas up, just don't know when I should. I am now into my 3rd week and the ladies seem to be doing well(2nd pic). These are the ones I'm planning to transplant right away. (3rd pic) are the ones I'm planning to top or do some training on, veg a little longer seeing that aren't doing as well as the others. I'm outside the hydro store now to grab some pots for transplant. From what I've read it seems that Fabric Pots are the way to go.

I'm open to any and every suggestion. So please chime in about any and everything....

They don't really need food until a few weeks old.

I would up pot the bigger ones.

Other than that they look OK for now.

How so? There's a greater distance between lights and plants than before. That first week was straight water and the result was the first pic. Looked a lot worse and also had some yellow leaves. Currently there is more space between lights and I'm only at a quarter strength as far as food goes. For those 3 I'm grabbing 2 gallons pots now. Trying to figure out which soil I'm going with. Thinking a coco n perlite Vermifire mix. Maybe a happy frog, or an ancient forest

Nutrient burn. That's what that burn on the tips is.

Only a couple of the bigger ones can handle feeding right now at low doses.

Right now they are only being fed 1/4 strength. Recommended dosage is 2 tsp. Plan on up potting Friday making it a full 3weeks... I ended up going with the 707 organic soil so we will see how everything takes.

Update....

Last post I believe I was gettin ready to up pot 3 of my girls. That Friday I ended up up potting the Purple Kush, Blue Dream, and White Widow x Big Bud. My clone lady ended up giving me a Death Star which I also up potted to a 2 Gallon. My root balls were pretty decent on the 4 that were were kinda struggling ( 2 Golden Goat, WWxBB, BD) so I ended up up pottin those to 1 gallons. Since i transplanted I have been using just distilled water no nutes.

Not sure what to look for but everything seems to be looking ok I guess. Im currently in my 4th-5th week from solo cups. I plan on bringing nutes back into the picture at the end of the week at 1/4 tsp strength. Guess I gotta let the ladies do what they do for the time being. I just get so excited seeing the new growth, can't wait to see the final product. If im not doing something right let me know what's needed. I'm clearly wet behind the ears, just tryna get the best possible
